If you're gonna buy a box on wheels, get a t4R imo.

i like the fj. Some aspects of it seem like it was designed from the start with more off-road capability in mind. They just missed the ball on some other bits of it.

Two of my coworkers have nice FJs and both like them. Last time i spoke with one of them, he said he hopes to replace it with a newer year model if he even ever does replace it.

Hot Springs ORV (Superlift) is a badass park! Took my second trip up there with my buddy in his LX450 yesterday. We rode 3 and 4 star (5 is buggies mainly) trails all day and ran into a cool group of Toyotas from Texas. 10/10 would recommend

So this might be a long shot but did anyone in here happen to go wheeling at Hot Springs OHV yesterday?

I was there with a group of friends and we met a white 1st gen taco and a silver land cruiser on the trails. We were going to wheel together but then our friend broke a CV. As you guys drove off I saw a TW sticker on the taco and decided to see if I could figure out who it was. Our group was the grey 5th gen runner, blue 2nd gen taco, red 3rd gen runner and silver 3rd gen runner from Houston.

Sorry to be the outsider in y'alls thread but I figured I would try to find the only non jeepers we saw all weekend!

We did! Then spent 2 hours getting him off the trail last night when he broke a pinion and then the transmission gave out and the driveshaft knocked 2 holes in the bell housing. It was an interesting day yesterday. Sorry we didn't get to wheel with y'all. We were so excited to meet other Toyota people and then that CV let go.

Yeah normally that park is Jeep wranglers and not much else, except during the Cruiser Crawl. Nice seeing some Yotas lol. That poor 3rd gen T4R, pretty nice truck before that guy got his hands on it
