My front flaps are off. After I lift it a little more I'm going to take the 4x4 rears off too and sell all four of them.

i took mine off, i thought it looked better but before i did that i spent a week trying to notice how many other trucks (dodge, ford, chevy etc.) had them. no midsized trucks had them so i took them off. i figured if they were that important than all trucks should have them

Hard plastic rock guards are pointless on an "offroad" truck. This becomes VERY OBVIOUS when you 4X anywhere 4X is used to go. Just got back from doing very mild trails in Moab so I could bike the rest of the way, to find rear "flap" broke off. Thought I hear it snap off on a mild trail. Lucky I didnt rip the rest of the fenderwell off. Rubber flaps=No BREAK Hard PLASTIC=SNAP*#%@&. Do yourselves a favor and remove these POS.

Five inches off the ground off the back tire when 4X4in is just plain dumb and asking to break.

I'm leaving them on until I destroy one, then I'll remove them. I'm too lazy to take them off until I need to.

I trimmed about 4 inches off my front flaps today. Looks better and hopefully won't drag on the speed bumps and curbs anymore.

I used a grease pencil to mark and a dremel cut off wheel to do the cutting. I used a razor knife to clean up the melted plastic and uneven edge. I then sanded with 150 grit to smooth out. I had finer sandpaper to finish with but ended up not using/needing it.

Took less than 15 minutes total.

I took them off back when i did lift/tires. Last weekend I cut 5 inches off of the front ones and they looked pretty good, but the tires rubbed so i left them off. I'll probably do some more cutting this weekend to fix this.
