sweet!!!! well... not really... for the people that lived there. im wondering why they brought so many damn engines to a small house fire.... and a ladder truck!

 

Ladder truck should roll to every fire. I know in the big cities the engines won't vent at all, that's the truckies jobs. You never know the full story as to why there are so many engines, but the more the merrier

 

lol yeh around here the ladder truck at the f.d. up the street NEVER moves out of the bay... kinda makes me wonder why we even have it other than to say we have it... all those engines just make it look pretty.

 

Might not have the man power to operate it. Our "City" dept has 2 now, 1 is a reserve and isnt staffed til the new goes in for service, and it rolls to every TC or Structure fire in the city. A good structure fire in the city will strip all of our engines, due to the budget cuts, the engines are 2 man staffed and 3 on the Truck.

 

yeh thats what im guessing. its a relatively small fire dept. so i doubt they would have enough to staff it.

Anybody know how to delete multiple pics at once in your pic gallery???

 

thats crazy.... there must be some reason for it though.. lol extra tools/ equipment maybe..

What is a 10-50? We dont use 10 code out here on the west coast.

 

10-50 is a vehicle accident i believe. some places its just a basic transport.

 

Ahhh ok, ya the truck has all the extrication equipment out here, so thats why they roll. We have most of ours on out Patrols and our structure engines.

Same in LA county. The ladder truck has all the hydraulic rescue equipment (jaws of life, cutters, etc).
