Finally saw one in person. You're right, it actually looks decent without the glare. Also, I've since noticed that my grill has a pop-out removable section in that area. Never saw that before.

 

Only thing I can sort out is your comment on the Black Pro is complete shit. If you don’t like the trd pro that’s fine. It’s just that nobody needs you to come to a TRD Pro thread just to let a new trd Pro owner know that you don’t like his new truck. Kind of makes you seem like a clown who really wishes he had a Pro. Just saying...

Do you have a part number for that TRD cold air intake? Also, is there any benefit aside from it looking awesome lol

Adds a little noise, looks great under hood, debatable if increase in hp and performance, but some say it makes engine seem to run a bit better, we will see, as depends upon who you talk to. I liked it and it was one more way to make it different. Kinda felt as though it should've been on there all ready, honestly.

 

Ive seen 2 blue ones, but never seen the black... super black! Looks to me that the wheel arches could use a touchup with some 303 or something just to match the truck better.

X2 revolver tonneau cover, cold air intake, 2657516s (taller side wall but doesn't rub & only affects Speedo 2 mph) can't believe pro comes with such non aggressive tires, black inserts (not vinyl stickers)in tacoma on tailgate to match other logos, trd oil cap and radiator cap, bed mat to prevent scratches in bed, haven't decided on if I want to paint or change wheel flares, bed extender, as i used mine a lot on 16 tacoma. I'm sure I'll do more, just want to get it and enjoy it a bit first,

I'll post pics when I pick it up with tires and cover, etc. on it. Should be first of week.

It has locking tailgate, led bed lights (wanted, especially with tonneau cover), predator steps, and mud flaps all ready.

 

Are most of the people on here who bought a 3rd Gen coming from a 2nd Gen?

 

I owned 2 first gens and a second gen. Now a 3rd gen. Loved all 4 of mine.

 

So what would you improve now on the 3rd that you missed on the 2nd. I’m wondering about power and hauling capacity?

 

I like my 3rd gen better than the 2nd gen. All the way around. It’s better. I’m a truck guy, so I don’t need sports car performance. If I need extra power, I just hit the ECT power button. I don’t tow anything other than my Yamaha YZ450F, but it works fine for me.

 

ECT doesn’t give more power, right? Just changes shift points?
