Website shows $1265 delivered (1185+80), but I know he has a cash discount. I am sure if I showed up with a stack of dead presidents and a list of orders, I could work something out.

He lets you choose the rack color too...color matched rack perhaps...

Or save 80 bucks, come ride in Utah then drive it home!

My grom makes 12whp on stock bore. We've built a few that have made almost 14whp on stock bore. Big bore bikes make north of 22whp so you can get as mild or as wild as you want too. They make turbo kits for these bikes and nitrous kits too.

We hit a lot of the big BC bike destinations this summer and I would say Valemount was the best weekend we had all year. Can't wait for the climb trail to be finished next year.

Don’t look at is as only a 4hp increase over stock, look at it as 50% more power. It had the dirt bike sounding brap and a thump in the exhaust from the cam, plus tuner and intake etc to support it. Also ran a -1 sprocket, the bike pretty much was made to do bad things. I was pretty tame, but it might have been over a few curbs and down some sidewalks in its short life with me.

I only ended up with a Grom because I walked into a Honda dealer looking to buy a Ruckus. Saw the Grom and it had gears, so I bought it. I need to sell a spare outboard boat motor, and once I do, the Ruckus will be mine.

sure a moto might cost a *little* less upfront, but what does a weekend riding it cost? fuel, maintenance, access fees, SAFETY GEAR? all that stuff costs exponentially more than the cost of use of your expensive MTB. We all know some one who has a moto, that is just a garage queen but most people with MTB's that are expensive use them... and hell when you spend a lot on a bike you really want to get your dollars worth.
Used Motos are affordable because people realize they barely get to ride them and just want to sell them off for what they owe on it, it has been ragged out OR recoup their cost of an expensive repair.

When I started dating my now-wife she rode and I didn't. I tried keeping up with her on those trails but she'd stop occasionally just to be nice. We'd ride up there a couple times a week after work and weekends too. That was almost 30 years ago. Haven't been back to Saratoga Gap/Long Ridge/Peters Creek for about a year, but since it's dry maybe we should go up this weekend and relive the old days. Nice Bronson! I'm riding a Tallboy and she's on a Ripley ... old folks' 29-ers. We still ride a couple times a week, and I still can't keep up with her on most trails. She's doing a CX clinic this morning.

That was the first trail my buddy took me on in 2012 when I first started MTBing. I hadn't ridden it in 4+ years - it's tough to get to and the technicality isn't too tough (and you can ride JNT which is closer and more fun). I only rode it because Sanborn Rd was closed; they sanitized the beginning on Saratoga Gap trail where the root was so it's less technical but the views/photos you get on Long Ridge are some of the best around.

Thanks! I had the 2015 Black/Magenta one and a buddy was selling this one used so I jumped on it. I've taken it to Downieville and it rips - such a good bike. One thing is that the Enve wheels are a PITA to get the tires off but they're fast. I also have used the bailout gear on the 1x12 once only so 1x11 would be sufficient for me. I think I am going to swap out the Reverb post for a Fox Factory Transfer as well. I will say I miss the black Bronson a bit! That color combo was great.

    Major differences:
New one is a little sloppier climbing
    New one descends better
    X2 shock is awesome

Nice I almost went with the bronson over my yeti but the Yeti won out. The Bronsons are awesome bikes. I think I would personally prefer a bike that has more descent capabilities...

Nice shot ... and a good reminder for folks that ride any Santa Cruz area trails to support MBoSC.org, Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz, with donations or volunteering for trail work ("Dig Days") or both. Check out the MBoSC plan for future trails in the area http://mbosc.org/2025vision/

Didn't realize Valemount had such a sweet bike park. I'll have to head up some day. Thanks for posting

The Bronson is definitely capable. I went from a Specialized Stumpy 26er to the Bronson and what a step that was. Next bike brand I'd also look at is Ibis - a buddy of mine has the Mojo HD3 and it's a great looking bike.

Have been to a handful of the Dig Days at Demo - they're well put on events (and you can "test" the trails after the work day is over!). They started limiting the number of volunteers for signup; I guess they had too many to organize or don't have enough supervisor/trail experts to divvy up the work effectively?
