I have found that my 1/2" Dewalt Impact with 1200 ft-lb breakaway torque and 700 ft-lb tightening torque will shear off practically every bolt head that holds together my rust-bucket of a truck.

So Santa has noticed that I've been VERY nice this year, and left in my stocking a:

Dewalt 3/8" Brushless Compact Impact Wrench with a manageable 150 ft-lbs of torque.



It now joins my collection of impact wrenches: 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2"

@Blackout14 - can you link me to the exact programming cable that you use for the radio? Just wanna make sure I get the right one and that it works with a MacBook Air.

Is there Mac specific software that I’ll need to download?

 

Mapped out a route that goes through engineer, poughkeepsie gulch, imogene, and black bear. Suggestions on other major passes or challenging trails?

Don’t get me wrong, mogs are totally cool, but for what I like to do it’s not an ideal setup. The gear reduction of the portal axle is amazing for wheeling but not so much for a cross-country highway trip.
I’ve always been mindful of this: my truck is not a trailered wheeling rig so it needs to maintain solid on-road capability. Many off-road mods can decrease this capability. Finding the correct balance is the ongoing challenge.

 

We're doing trains in the forest this summer.

I’m going to assume @Tatts521 was in the Marlboro / Manalapan area where women are self entitled and empowered by thier husbands success. So I can see where he’s coming from. I just let them pass and then fire up the LEDs behind them. That sends them info a fit of rage and gives me enjoyment for at least a minute.

 

I started to type that out last night and decided to just let it go... Accidental quote this morning. This thread gets enough drama without me starting more.
