Why not trim ... THEN try a bodylift...I'm running bigger tires than that and with minor trimming they don't rub a bit...Don't waste your time and money on a BL. Trust me man... you'll be better off down the road. If you have a Dremel that's your best friend

EDIT: unless you want a bodylift then by all means, your truck. Didn't want to come off as a dick. Some people want body lifts. But just in case. Trimming can do the job also;) nice truck!!

Already have the BL but I figure after I install the skid plates and bumpers I’ll sag down about 3/4-1” but with body lift I could make up for it without having to max out my preload on the coils and still have a soft ride.

Is it 4x? What coils do you have ? And depends, what bumper/ skid setup are you going with ? Still tons of guys here run skids/ full bumpers and tents. And 35 inch tires... you could run a higher rate coil, in your front shocks say 650 or even 700 and that would make up for the extra weight and keep your ideal lift without sacrificing ride and cranking the coils to maximum . Without having to throw on a body lift. Which if you plan on wheeling, I wouldn't. You'll see gaps between your bumper and the body and it's just a Pain in the ass.

Yes it’s a 4x4. I’m on sway a ways 2.5 with a 700 spring rating. I’ll probably do some more research but 1” is not that much and looks like a lot off guys do a 3” suspention and 1” BL.

700? Fuck that's stiff especially if you have no weight right now... I doubt it's even going to affect ride height with skids and some bumpers. I would try it out. But if that's the lift you're trying to get them throw it on. Will look good either way:thumbsup:

Lol yea they seem good now but earlier I had about 2” of thread showing which was giving me about 5.25” of height over stock. I backed it down to 1” of thread and it went to 4.75”.
Had to go down to 5/8 of thread to get about 3.5”. But I’m hoping it will drop down closer to 3 with the extra weight.

Yea I got the SPC UCA. Maybe I’ll hold off on the BL until I get the bumpers, skids and rock sliders to see how everything will sit

Doing my rear main seal while I have the tranny off. Do I need to replace the retainer too?

Anything else I should replace while I have the tranny off?

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Got my Whiteline LCA bushings and SPC UCAs in.

Now, tomorrow I just need to get the front end put the rest of the way back together, and install my AALs.

Also ordered a bracket (of Ebay) for a light bar I don't even have yet, lol.

I did a 1” BL on a 99 Tacoma I used to have back in the day. I had no issues with it. Only thing was It made it a little tougher putting it in reverse. Other than that it was good. I got the kit from 4crawler/ Roger Brown for around $130. Took about an hour to install. Pretty straight forward

Wrapped up the write-up for the break-in of the new gears I had installed a week ago. They are awesome - the truck feels "stock" again, and my gas mileage is back up...which is completely un-intuitive to me, given that the revs are higher (but I get it that I'm now in the power zone and it's not all about revs).

read it all: Breaking in the new gears

    Too much to list....
So I did the Pinon seal on my Front diff cuz it was weeping (the guys I had do my ARB used some bogus seal) Got the flange on and the new Stake nut on and Staked before I realized I forgot the washer... So I need a ruling.

    A) Save the washer order a new stake nut and Drive it until I do my steering rack here soon.

    B) Stop Order the new stake nut wait until it gets here and do it right?

I am 100% torn both ways.
