This is a good idea. And really good for guys that dont understand wiring relays. Awsome video. I might have to do this.

lol, thats the whole point of buying a switch pro. This is the exact job its designed for. now if he needed to switch higher loads then sure, but adding more relays when the switch pro can handle it fine is just adding more points of failure.
you have it, its the switch pro.
sure, but again, he has the switch pro. just use it and you will be happy and super clean

My only reasoning for wanting a relay was when I was trying to take the high amp items load off the switchpro. Because even though we have established my onx6 bar is fine
I still have an RTL-S and other items going on that would benifit from being on the switchpro to control but still need the load controlled :)

It's all good though. I got it sorted out now...
Until a month or so from now when my TBI kicks in and I forget I already asked this hahaha

which is still fine :D those two on one switch each, then the large one on the combo one for 30amp the RTL-S is less then 4amps total. so you will still be good :D now when you start running over 100amps, then we will need to talk about triggering other relays. the switch pro is designed for this and can handle it.

He’s got a point. For the $$ the switch pro is it should have “built in” relays. And there is no power going thru the firewall to the dash...it’s the cable to the master box.

It has one relay at 30A the rest are 18
Except for the new models that are coming out soon which have 4 relays at 35A and the remainder at 18

Man I must have forgotten how to read, I swear I had read each item to be way higher amp. Good thing you're around to correct me before I waste time and wire

Twinning. Got a RLT-S too. If I'm motivated, I'll finish wiring it tomorrow.

Well shit if its got its own relays then no need for more. I thought it was just a controler, with No relays. Still pricy but and i would just use my own switching and a relay set up.its not hard to do and cheap compared to the switch pros.

    Some stuffz
It has solid state protection. No relays, but it’s “smart” enough to detect overloading

Black wire to ground. Hook the rest to power sources of various types. Results will vary.

Nah the Switch Pros is a dope little goody box. Easy to use if you RTFM.

Not if you have to use external relays. What's the point there then. Costs way too much compared to a buss man.

You only need a relay if the amp of the item exceeds 30A

Which as we have discovered is not an issue for me as I am an idiot

You don't, that's the thing. Paranoid helped Caboose figure that out.

But to each his own, you can use what you like.

    Yep
Only a problem with devices over 30amp which isn't a problem for anything I have... cause I'm an idiot
