old to newe tails

I have the old set of tail lights and am wanting the new set. Can anyone fill me in on what all needs to be done in order to make this switch possible... IE how to go from led to standard bulb........vice versa

 

AFAIK you just swap the housing. I've seen folks with '09's who want to swap to the old tails so ask around. Don't forget TN, too.

 

I just switched my 2009 LED tail lights for a set of 2008 tail lights.

Its completely plug and play.

 

What did you do with the 09 tails??

 

I traded them for the 2008 tail lights

 

So its just the houseings, not the bulb harness as well. I am sending mine to another guy and I want to make sure he gets all the right parts..... so neither one of our trucks is down for the count to long......

 

they are plug and play... Swapped mine out with warped, took minutes
