That's why my wife likes the spruces. We inherited her parents decorations when they passed a few years back. We'd need a 20 footer to get them all on. Here she is as a happy camper.

We're all guilty of being busier than we should be. Thank goodness for the semblance of a break that the holidays offer.

Awesome. It'll be myself, Rene and the girls, my mom, and you and "S", our dogs, and...???

Great pic! It lends some perspective to the size of that tree. They always look smaller in the woods.

We need some sturdy branches too because it's been a tradition in my family to give an ornament every year, so I have one from each of my 36 years on earth, plus all the normal baubles and everything else. The ones I have been given over the years are mostly big, toylike, and heavy.

Wish I could make it out shooting with guys. Being in the kitchen industry means this is one of the busiest times of the year for me.

Let me know when you guys head out again. I'm always down to go.

To be clear, the activity that I will be involved in next Saturday Dec. 16th, is cutting a Christmas tree with my family somewhere on Mt. Taylor, then returning to ABQ to decorate it and drink hot chocolate.

It'll probably be a fairly tame, slow moving day with a somewhat late start. The only excitement (outside of finding an awesome tree) might be taking the short hike from La Mosca to the summit. That depends on how windy it is up there, because if it's blowing hard it will be miserable cold and we'll probably skip that. Otherwise, we'll be poking around looking for a tree and maybe stop for a sandwich somewhere.

I wasn't proposing that as the next range day. Pigger and I were spit balling something after the new year as far as that goes.

For sure. Pigger has a prime location for shooting off Hwy 44 near San Ysidro, and if you have ever dreamed of shooting the ultimate selection of revolvers, he can help you with that.

I just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page with the 16th. I'm up for others joining, but don't want anybody to expect too much.

That's a great hike, but I've always done it in summer. I used to take students up there. On a clear day, you can see forever.

One Christmas tree isn't enough for MsWalla. We have the fake one in the main room and a fresh cut in the bonus room at the back of the house. Her family has a cool tradition of everyone getting together on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and heading to her brother's cabin outside Cuba. It was warm and dry dry dry this year. Hope you all get to see some snow to set the mood!

It sure is. The last time I was up there was back in October of 2008. This picture is looking SSE, I believe. I hope the "sonic the hedgehog" is still there.

    394366-R1-021-9_009.jpg

BTW, does anyone know where this VVVV is? We found the spot on that day back in 08, but I can't remember for the life of me where the heck it was.

    394366-R1-017-7_007.jpg

Double trees? That's seriously Christmas. Whereabouts near Cuba?

That is a good deal on the bumper. I wish it fit one of my vehicles. It sounds like the guy ended up with it for free after Pelfreybilt didn't want it back and is now trying to pocket $800. I can't blame him, I guess.

East of Cuba, then south on some forest road my BIL picked out. Since he has a cabin near there he's the defacto Xmas tree scout and route expert. I just follow.

Not new to Tacomaworld but newer to the NM forums. Just purchased a 17 Tacoma OR 4x4. Put on some new 265 75 16 Falken ATW3 tires and Procomp 7032 wheels. Also just put on my Chinese Pro grill and looks awesome! Looking forward to getting out and hopefully doing some meet ups. Just need a small lift and Sliders and I’ll be set. Here are some pics! Also if anyone is interested in stock tires with 577 miles on them let me know!

Also got around to debadging all the chrome emblems and replacing the TRD OR decals with a black one.
