Just got my truck lifted a week ago using 3" spacer in front and AAL in rear and am curious if the stiff ride I'm experiencing would be made worse/better/neutral if I add 5100s? I'm running 265 70 17 and stock shocks w 11K miles on them.

Too many bumps in the road are killing me.

The stiff ride is from compressing the springs 3 " in the front.
I bet the 5100s would dampen the stiffer spring rate but it will most likely still be stiff.

Spring rate usually double every inch you compress them unless they are the progressive type.
if the spring is a 300 Lb. per inch spring it takes 300 Lbs. to compress it one inch. When you compress it two inches it take 600 Lbs pressure and so on.

The spacers are already installed and I don't want to discard them if possible, so it would be the addition of 5100s

That won't help the stiff ride. The springs would still be compressed the same amount.

    getting there....
x2. need to ditch the spacers and go with the 5100's to lessen the stiffness....or get bigger coils.
