27 degrees outside right now and I need to get out there and do a snow tire changeover and an oil change. I need a garage (heated would be nice) and a lift.

 

10 in central vermont right now. Installing new ladder rack so we can suffer together.

CRX in the Northeast? Gas mileage will be great, but you'll be able to hear it rust.

 

Check them out on CL, the only ones for sale up here are asking stupid money.

 

Vintage Hondas are going to be the next ones coming up in value. I've already seen it with the Type R, I bet the 3G Prelude SI, 99-00 Civic Si and the 92-95 Civic Si hatch will be next.

The problem is that they all have the same design flaws on the rear wheel arches. The CRX was one of the worst and rusted out the fastest. The fuel economy figures the HF put up still are impressive in this day and age.

Running a rust free CRX through the winter would be a crime akin to running a pristine 84-88 Toyota Pickup through the winter.

You could use that to do your wheel bearings on the t4r

We have a lot of Proto and now they have been buying cheaper junk.

 

I have a socket for that. I wouldn’t be able to get that wrench in the hub.

 

Isn't the hub only 35mm?

 

My truck is a 54mm . Tacoma is 35 I think not sure been awhile.

 

So do, but torqued properly and you could take it off with wrench lol. Just trying to find a use for them lol

 

Any of you guys ever go stupid skinny/tall for a snow tire. I'm looking at equivalent sizes to my 265/75-16 AT and thinking a 235/85-16 might fit the bill. There are a few out there in a winter tire, but mostly LRE (10 ply) and I'm running LRC (6 ply) for my AT tires. Not that that's going to stop me, a LRC snow tire seems to be near impossible to find.

 

My buddu use to run 235/85/16 E in a BFG Commercial T/A with studs for a winter set on his 95 suburban 2500 6.5 diesel that he also plowed with. They stuck to the road quite well

 

GF's dad was in the Toyota, and had the articles from it still. Bad enough accident that he was helicoptered to the hospital. I was curious of what kind of truck he had, since he wasn't exactly sure.

 

I just put on 245/70/17 on taco. Not as tall as you're saying but definitely skinnier, but I was looking to go lower to keep my plow angle better than when running my 285/75/16's. General Grabber Arctic XL's (load C like you're looking for and rated good all over the place). So far so good. I just put them on yesterday, but just ran 250 miles on them and happy so far. Waiting to put them through the paces this winter.
