Did you already snake the line to see if something stuck in there causing some standing water and smell?

Have not snaked the line yet, mainly because everything has been draining. Great idea to try that out. Was also thinking about using some of the drain cleaner as a try.

It’s less likely, but your main drainage line could be cracked from frozen water causing back up. When you snake, look for mud, roots, etc. that could be in the line

You guys recommend a decent snake? Of course, don’t want to break the budget.

I’m not a plumber but few questions
What year was the house built?
Is it a slab or pier beam?
Could be a crack vent pipe
    Or a busted p trap

I had a vent pipe bust and had to cut the wall cut the pipe pull it through in sections and replace it and the lead piece in top

    House was built in 1984.
    Slab
I don’t think it’s a busted P Trap as when I ran my bathtub and was looking at the drain lines, I didn’t have any water coming out of the pipe and nothing was wet around the exterior.
I’ve got a cheap o manual snake that’s about a foot long and see if that pulls up any hair of some sort. I also saw they sell a manual rigid 25’ snake I can add a power drill to which wondering if that might work.

I’ve had to have the kitchen sink snaked before and it was a ridiculous amount of money, so trying to avoid the plumber if I absolutely have to. I’m not plumber so this is new to me.

That small drum one you speak of is what I have to use sometimes on tubs. You have to go thru overflow on a tub. Still reading and catching up on your problems

SO WHen i got home just now, I had a cheap “snake” if you want to call it that, where it’s about 1.5’ long.

Vastar 3 Pack 19.6 Inch Drain Snake Hair Drain Clog Remover Cleaning Tool https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DP87IF8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_l0TnAbG9DQE24

I went in from the tub end and after playing around with it (that’s what she said), didn’t really have anything come up.

Went back outside and through the wall and decided to take off the p trap if you want to call it that. Prior to unscrewing the drain tub end, I noticed some of the soil was wet. After looking at everything, I think the fitting was loose and was pulling away from the main line, so I had a small gap. The photos that are circled in red is the area I’m speaking of.

With the p trap off, I used the so called snake in the main line and didn’t have anything else he obstructed. The tub has been draining fine after taking showers which is why I don’t think it “could” be a clog. I’m just thinking off the top of my head.

I reinstalled everything and going to see if that did the trick, no tellling. If it is t, going to rent a snake or buy one of these I’m thinking and hook up to my drill:

RIDGID 41408 Power Spin with AUTOFEED, Maxcore Drain Cleaner Cable, and Bulb Drain Auger to Remove Drain Clogs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00203U69K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_M5TnAbZY3T1EB

So far, want to thank everyone for all of your thoughts and ideas.

Anyone have a schematic for the rear brake drums and where certain springs go.... cause I am confused as hell right now and my googlefu is not working well.

I have one spring that is contacting the back of the wheel hub... so it sounds horrible and may not be in the spot it needs to go....
