3k off MSRP isn't bad at all. Especially in California. You did well this early in the model year.

Thanks man. Yea, this is a tough region to get a good deal on these trucks. I think being willing to travel a bit, not being in a hurry, and playing a number of dealers off of each other all helps.

    Good luck in your hunt!

You do realize no two OTD prices are the same, right? Your TTL is different than my TTL. Fees vary by city, state, region.

Bought a new 2018 TRD SPORT DC 4x4 Silver. The only added extra from factory was rubber mats included in MSRP. No BS Toyota guard or dealer installed option. I purchased from a dealer here in Florida (Earl Stewart) that does not charge dealer fees which are typically $899 in my area plus other added on misc charges dealers sneak in at the end. Also, the reason I decided 2018 instead of 2017 leftover was a few new options that are now standard - electric rear sliding window (very important when you have dogs) - there are other changes like the front grill, lane assist etc. Price difference when I was choosing between a 2017 and 2018 I found to be negligible.

    MSRP $37,394
    PRICE $34,636
COUPON ( -$500) FRIENDS AND FAMILY
TOTAL PRICE: $36,355.71 OTD WITH TAX TAG AND TITLE

They can take off things like Tube Steps and Exhaust Tips. Just cuz the dealer or Toyota built it that way, doesn't mean you need it to live! Tell em you don't want it or they can throw it in for free. As far as price, DO NOT pay MSRP! I'm sure you've seen Invoice on either AutoTrader or NADA.

    https://www.autotrader.com/Toyota/Tacoma/2018

I've only gotten $1,000 off MSRP for an ORDERED 2018 and I feel like I'm getting screwed! A lot of people are all about Invoice, but I don't think I can swing it. So you at least have $1,000 to subtract...anything else...more power to ya!

Yes very aware. I’m just curious if people are getting them below msrp, at msrp and some people paying dealer markup. Still a fair share of 2017’s left too so just curious to see what people are experiencing.

Hi I was wondering if anyone has been able to get a TRD Sport DCLB 4x2 with premium and tech packages in cement.
My dealer says it not available

    Thanks

Just tried to build that on the Toyota website and was unable to add premium and tech package at the same time. Maybe that’s the issue.

I'm almost there with a 7545 - Cement + Tech + All Weather nonsense + Tonneau + TDA + Delivery = 35741.67+TTL. Delivers next week. Agreed to 500 over invoice, which this is give or take. Very straight forward. Tommy at Kirkland in Seattle.

Yeah it’s strange I can build a 4x4 with all those packages just not the 4x2

Is that something Toyota will add later

+1, everyone should be listing MSRP and discount off or price before TTL and trade. Also exclude dealers fees. Dealer fees can vary. TX has a limit on doc fees but not sure about other states. Some dealers are shady and try to tack on other dealer fees like mine tried. 4 month later still pissed that they tried to pull that crap. OTD does no one any good on a post like this.

Well, dealer fees are good to include since it creates a baseline and shows what some people pay and what others don't.

The worst posts are the ones saying, "I only paid $15,000 for my 2018 TRD Pro." When in reality, they traded in their 2017 Tundra or something for a down payment.

That's a decent deal in Seattle. Dealerships around here aren't willing to budge too much, that's why I went to Texas for mine. Just make sure that truck isn't listed for cheaper at another dealership. If it delivers next week, it might be at another dealership and listed at a cheaper price.

Here's one in Seattle for $36,352, not sure if it has tech though. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/721223272/overview/

Settled on a deal when I ordered my 2018 Sport DCLB for $750 over invoice. I will see what that is when I pick it up next week.

It's interesting to see what people can get waived.

Also, it's good for people to know fees to look for that they might not know about. stuff like the financial reserve, TMF and such.

New to Toyota. Read through this and a couple of other similar threads.

Quuestion re invoice and TDA (Toyota Dealer Advertising) fee.

Both dealers I’m currently working with are quoting me invoice (matching the amount listed in the master pricing thread here on TW) plus a TDA fee. They call this combined amount ‘invoice’. Both also have the 995 Deliver fee and a dealer doc/fee.

Reading about TDA, it seems as though this is a cost of business that is passed along to the dealer. However, most guys on this thread only talk about invoice, MSRP, etc with no mention of TDA.

Both dealers say they will sell me the 2018 truck at invoice. Seems to me as though I should simply take the invoice price from the master price thread and add any options, Delivery and the dealer fee scratch out the check. ?
