TRD Pro Grille for $140?

After following this thread for some time, I decided to take the plunge. Thanks to @naishsr for referring a reputable seller and to @BeachHouse for the tip on the $15 coupon code. Hopefully it doesn’t take too terribly long to get here......but for $119, I’ll be patient.

 

I bought mine from a new Chinese eBay seller and received the grille without problems. Complained about broken tabs and they refunded all my money and told me to keep the grille.

 

@facefirst where did you order your grille from ?

 

I originally ordered from Areyourshop for $169 but after seeing someone received theirs with a white plastic insert that was painted black I cancelled that order. I then ordered from Recamera for $159 an account that was verified by a member here that received theirs and was all black plastic. I received my package from Recamera yesterday which was a clip on cell phone mount, the old bait and switch. I then contacted the seller that the package is not what I had ordered. I will see how they respond tomorrow before disputing with eBay

 

Im about to do the same, just curious if motorfansclub let you know if the package was actually still on the way or not?
I contacted the guy or girl twice so far and keep getting the same response.

Has anyone yet received one from motorfansclub? And if so, did it come through China post of Hong Kong post?

 

I’m picking mine up from the post office tomorrow morning. I ordered from motorfanclub and they shipped mine through China Post

 

I purchased the $108.88 and noticed it was shipped ePacket... expected to be here on the 19th. Well after reading this thread it looks like I'll be receiving some LED lights. go figure! I will be putting in for a refund but I guess I'll have to wait until the wrong package arrives before I can request for one. Can anyone point me to a reliable seller?? I was thinking about buying from Areyourshop but the above comment by @crawldad says that someone received theirs with white plastic insert that was painted black... and I don't want that mess! I know there is always a chance its not going to be perfect but I would really like something as close to the genuine TRD PRO Grille as possible without having to spend $499 on the real deal.

 

This is the post where the grille insert is white plastic. There have been recent posts where the buyers have stated theirs is all black plastic. I guess it's hit or miss?

 

eBay areyourshop is who I got it from, it shipped from hongkong on the 23rd of nov, it got stuck in customs according to USPS so not blaming the seller ‘‘tis the season” after all. It’s the guys selling the 140 dollar one with free shipping so, he had good reviews about this grille both here and eBay so we shall see tomorrow lol

 

yeah looks like it's a hit or miss with most of these sellers. :/ I am just trying to decide which seller i wanna take a chance with at this point. I already lost with the $108.88 seller.. and hoping the refund for that won't take long. I've been waiting on it to be delivered to get it installed but turns out they scammed everyone by sending LED lights instead.

 

Right now, your best option is the areyourshop seller since motorfanclub doesn’t have a listing up.

 

yeah tempted to go ahead and buy from areyourshop and hope i receive one thats all black plastic

 

Mine is suppose to arrive tomorrow according epacket chinapost. Is there a way to tell if it's a small package or not? Didn't see a description in their tracking system.

 

I ordered from beileya_0 ang got an update today saying it will be delivered by the end of day on the 21st. It is an epacket, so I’m extremely excited to receive some nice LED lights rather than the grill I ordered.....

 

my understanding that if its shipped ePacket then chances are its not a TRD Grille due to the size. Considering everyone on this thread that has received there package has confirmed it was LED lights... so doesnt look good . About to order from another seller in hopes i can get a goddamn decent TRD Grille... or a grille period

 

Weird, I got mine from them and it's all black and two piece. The Toyota letters are a darker gray too.

 

@number1stunna how long ago was it when you received yours? I will probably order from them but just wanted to see how many are actually happy with the quality. Can you post pics?

Last I checked, MotorFansClub still hasn’t processed my 10% refund due to late shipping.

 

Ok so trying to decide if i should go with Areyourshop or Motorfansclub.
