I am fairly new to TW... Have all the threads about the next years model been this active??? Or is the 2018 special??? I know I am excited about the new TSS features, that is why I waited for the last 6 months to get a 2018. But this thread has me really excited for the " Whats the chatter on the 2019s"

The 2018 was special due to the safety/nanny features. There wasn't much action on the 2016 to 2107 chatter because not much changed. I wouldn't expect much on the 2019. Maybe a different grille and a big maybe on Entune 3.0. If they were smart they would do apple carplay/android auto.
Could there be a new color for 2019? A Green TRD Pro possibly.:notsure:

I highly doubt the 2019 Grille will change again as its new for 2018. Unless they wanna get the ugly out of it...

I was wishing. I am hopeful that they fire the blind man currently in charge of grilles and hire someone else.

    Just the basics
And that kids is why you don't post late at night after work. I stand corrected. Regardless, as an educator you should appreciate proper use of the English language. Who knows, here in Commiefornia they want to do away with college algebra as a requirement for some majors. No child left behind and all.

Back to your regularly scheduled program.

Algebra is just one more way the colleges pump up their tuition haul. I majored in applied computer science, and haven't used algebra once in the real world since then.

George isn’t blind, but did you know you can cook a mean steak on any of the TRD Tacoma grilles, the pro grille included?

Call me crazy, but I kind of like the grill on 18'. Even got a couple compliments on it...but it was family and friends so they might of been hiding their true feelings. :p

I have a violent physical reaction when I see the cheese grater grille. I only get somewhat angry when viewing the new weber mashed potato masher.

Speaking about 2019. Would it be out of the question to think that an integrated dash cam (maybe in the back of the rear view mirror) be a viable thing to start adding to new vehicles from the factory? Have it continuously record and overwrite to an SD card as needed, and do a an auto save of a given amount of time before and after when either a push of a button or impact happens?

Maybe even go so far as to have the backup camera logging data into another SD card or folder, doing the same thing?
Imagine how the insurance game would play out with these.

Now I realize dash cams are already available to install after the fact, but so is Nav, locking tailgates, backup cameras, and remote start.
Coming factory installed with some customizable options to fit the user would be a realistic addition to the whole digital world going on with vehicles now.

Not a bad idea at all, however, just like the built in Nav, the aftermarket options are always better.
With a dash cam, the user can choose how much or how little they want to spend, pick what features they need for their situation, such as night vision, parking monitor, g-force collision save features, etc. My fear with a built in dash cam would be the costs vs quality.
As a I said, not a bad idea and I could see it happening, just like back up camera systems now. I actually would like to see this happen, as long as the manufacturers don´t overprice the feature.

ive been looking into getting one of those diesel colorados.

is yours 2wd? At what highway speed is that 27.4 mpg?

i too drive around 30k plus miles a year. I found a 2018 ZL1 2wd in my area for 32,000 w/o tax, tag, title, an dealer fees, so im sure it would be really around 36k OTD. Im just trying to figure out if its worth it.

    actually here it is....
