its a neat setup, more money yes, but it also has more features then the busman setup. I am tempted to change over just for some of the nifty features. And you do not need external relays.

just like buying good lights costs way more then china stuff, good stuff costs more lol

Forgot to put the clips back on my hood pins and lost one like an idiot. Did this and they're a ton easier. Bonus for having tethers so I can't lose them.

We use that style of quick pin on our helicopters... they’re freakin awesome... the bigger ones can keep a rack of wrenches organized nice too

I looked up the price of them, they're expensive! Unless there's some cheap off brand ones that I haven't been able to find, I'm glad these were free.

Yeah I found them on there. Ideally I need them to be 1/2" shorter, but for the price I'm just going to make some spacers out of tube for like $1 total haha.

Would there be any issue with linking a truck with only a +2 kit in the front?
Or would it be a "waste"
I got a price estimate on linking the back of the truck and the price wasn't too bad
    And as someone stated earlier
Putting a camburg housing on leafsprings would almost be disgraceful haha

Got the motor swap happening in July and trying to make some big decisions on the truck that would be easier while it's all ripped down for that.

Debating on doing an engine cage and maybe back halving the truck like tommy at TT Motorsports.

Obviously money will become a concern as I start adding things to the build but I am aweful and just leaving things alone haha

If you're able to spend the money to link a truck I imagine your bank account will recover for a new front setup lol

    Send it.

Pretty much all these trucks are a work in progress - no one should be able to say "haha look at that guy cuz he doesn't have 13.5" of travel in front, but he's got 23" in the back" unless they had enough money to pay someone to build their entire truck for them in one shot, in which case they shouldn't care since they'll be too busy sending their truck on their 50 weeks of vacation each year lol

Yeah I just meant I wasn't sure if running a link in the rear would make my truck unsafe because the rear would be outperforming the front

Not until you decide to slam into a 4' whoop at 80mph because the links keep telling you to... ;)

3" or less of difference in travel in the front won't make a big deal until you push your truck pretty darn hard - to the point where a cage wouldn't be a bad idea :)

    That makes sense
Kentucky doesn't have many 4" whoops but I travel enough and have plans to start going up to Michigan so might as well make my truck linked at some point

I say link it man...I could very well be in the same boat in a few years if SUA doesn't satisfy me. People always say the rear is what dictates your speed anyway. Cool thing with a TC 2+ and the TC 3.5+ kits is they use the same coilovers as well as bypasses!

If they use the same coilovers and bypasses then how does the travel number increase? Wouldn't that mean you'd still be limited to 11.5?

Maybe I'm just too groggy to be thinking this clearly lol

Yea it was pretty mind boggling to me when I first heard it, but yea they use the same coilover from the 2+ and 3.5+ kit. Their dual shock hoops are rated for 2+ and 3.5+ so yea man...not as bad if you are only selling your axles and the kit itself.

I would have to have Pat explain it again, but they worked the arms where the same length shock can get used. Its the geo of the arms that yield the travel I believe and not the shock for say.

If you link your truck, think about a cage before you worry about upgrading your +2 kit.

Maybe rethink your motor swap idea too. HP doesn’t matter much if you don’t have the suspension to handle it. That’s why most guys with built trucks do that last after all suspension and cage work is sorted out.

Your money and your truck though so as long as your happy go for it and take lots of pictures of the build.

@Caboose117 Another cheaper option is buying a built linked truck. This truck was for sale for $60k and then taken off the market.
