    Man, that is terrible. :(

I really can't see how this could happen unless they were being extremely careless and/or driving too fast on a trail above their skill level.

The sad part is the trail is very low skill level.

Same here.. The only places I can think of, would suggest there was serious driver/vehicle failure.

Not being on that trail I would think driver error or vehicle failure. I saw a youtube video of woman who was driving a buggy in moab that she had never driven before or trail she had never tried and she made a mistake and rolled it and got her arm smashed by the buggy because she had it hanging outside of the buggy when before the rollover guys were telling her not to hang her arm out like that. The trail she was on did not appear that difficult either.

Sad- no doubt. Maybe wheels were turned and driver hit the gas hard then rolled- some distance???

No seatbelt perhaps? Jeep with or without doors and no seatbelt would be dangerous in a rollover.

Any vehicle without a seat belt can be dangerous in a rollover no matter how slow but especially a jeep. But if they rolled from the top to the bottom picking up speed that would be extremely violent for any stock vehicle even wearing a seat belt.

Much speculation with 1 common factor, jeep.

We were on that trail last time out. It is not terribly difficult, just the one uphill portion is rough.

Saw this 1st gen 4Runner at a trailhead in Moab, this past summer. The A pillars were cut and pulled back to extract the driver.... stark reminder to be safe while wheeling!

I saw someone on FB post that a Jeep rolled into someone, and that person was killed not the driver...of course this person "heard it from an officer", so again, it's probably just speculation.

Yes! Cant see most of the writing. It's all well wishes from people traveling by.

All of it was only 2-3 days old, when I saw it. The truck still had lots of the owners stuff in it.

I just went thru the Carolina 4Runner page and saw nothing about it. What time did it happen?
