So I spoke with one of our directors on Friday about my transfer. They said it's been approved and you start on the 10th. The 10th of what? January. In very bad form on my I laughed out loud.

If I can get my shocks swapped out and hopefully get my winch mounted I would be up for a trip over Christmas break. I'm working this Friday to get a taste of that sweet, sweet OT but I will be off the rest of the break.

Sounds good buddy! I wouldn't hate some of that holiday OT, means more truck stuff! Let's see if we can get a group to do a snow run over the break. I dont know if ill camp this time, my tent is soaked and i had to take it off the truck myself last night, which im very proud of lol.

    No worries -

A month after the accident, and $16k worth of body damage my truck came out of the body shop on a Thursday. That Saturday, while driving down to Portland I experienced transmission failure on I5. Towed to the nearest Toyota dealer (Kelso) and they said that the body shop had failed to clamp the hoses down correctly and they popped out resulting in a wrecked transmission.
Body shop took responsibility for it and it's getting a "new" transmission installed nowish - hopefully have it back Thursday.

To add to a compounding series of bad luck - I got rear ended on Monday in the rental car while stopped at a light.

At this point I've owned the truck for 4 months and it's spent almost a month and a half broken.

yikes! always in threes so you are clear of any further damage:
    1. original accident
    2. transmission f - off
    3. someone trying to sniff a rental car tail pipe too closely.

Good thing you were not on an Amtrax train this AM... messed up sitch but it was predicted....

Mule quoted me 8 hours at their shop rate which is either $125 or $150 and that didnt include assembling coilovers or installing UCAs

I had them check for general all round ship-shape of mine during a steering rack replacement and they found that the LCA bushings were shot, probably originals (made a giant difference in vehicle road manners)

Seems like a decent price. Im sure the book time is 8 hours and normal shop rates seem to be 100-150 range so doesnt seem bad at all.
