Thanks, I'll look into them. As long as it's not astronomically more expensive than other options I don't mid payinf for better work. Ended up buying a newer vehicle, so the truck definitely won't be ready for the meet. But I still plan the bring the new daily out and at least camp and ride along with someone.

Gotcha on there bud, let me know if the bro comes as well!

Sounds like you need to be there either way

Just sack up and drill a hole in your roof and go with a dome mount like mine. :D You get a great ground plane that way for good reception. Then you can keep running your Cobra 25 for the time being and if you ever want to go to a HAMM, I think the antenna mount might still work. The downside is you have to run a 3' Firefly with a light spring to go easy on the sheetmetal, but mine seems to work nicely.

Was your Cobra 25 an NW model with the illuminated labels?

    K. If you're looking to unload it, I'm interested. I'm kinda tired of trying to find a repair shop to look at my other one and I want to put one in the T4R. Won't be able to do anything about it until probably the 2019 Annual Meet so if you get an offer before then, it wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I could probably suck it up and sent the one I have back to Cobra and have them futz with it, but I'd probably get it back reset to the factory defaults instead of peaked and tuned with the Rgr beep module, but if it worked as well as my other one then...I guess I could live with that if I had to. It's just that yours is the newer model with the mic cord on the face instead of the side so I'd have more mounting options. If the T4R didn't have that useless moon roof, I could mount it the same as I have it in the OGT, but that's not really an option.

Is there anyone that's only going to have one vehicle at their site and would be willing to share with my buddy? He's got a SAS'd 4Runner (I think 86?) that he just got up and running and is interested in joining in.
