Nope. You maybe smoked some tire rubber and maxed your rpm limiter. But you won't do squat to your clutch by cutting a u'e and punching it.

Love the Speed3's. My buddy's car is pushing 600hp right now after he did all the engine internals and added meth on E85. It's fast as fuck.

Oh no, the pedal was to the floor. It was accelerating. When it hit about 3k where the engine starts to make power, that's when the clutch disc went up in smoke. Not tune related unless you talk about the extra power it makes. The truck seems fine though. The clutch may have lost a little bite but I bet some of its glazed a bit. It seemed to get better today driving it around normal.

The tires were not spinning. I know the difference in smell from rubber to the smoke boiling out of the middle of the truck

    Whoa..
That's not right (like no kidding). Free play out of whack? Contaminants on the disc/pressure plate.. like oil?
No way this engine is roasting a new(ish) clutch that is fully engaged. Unless the damn accumulator delayed it too much.
I find under high load conditions (taking off on a steep hill) the clutch engagement feels different (worse).
    Wow

It was odd. I have had them burn while shifting from gear to gear. But not while rolling and then just let loose. It probably spun about 3 seconds before I realized what was happening and pressed the pedal back in. I coasted into a parking lot and let it cool down. It never slipped any after that or all day today. It did feel a little soft and less jerky.

with the stress I've put on this clutch i am extremely surprised to hear that. iI agree with Frank, something there is not right, whether there's an adjustment to make, some contaminate, maybe just a bit of a dud clutch, but that's just not something to let be. if the dealer wouldn't help me for whatever reason I'd be looking aftermarket at a minimum.

but whatever, in a perfect world Toyota would find the issue and fix it. your clutch should be no less than a very long way from just slipping and spinning from this motor's power.

I'm going to roll it for a few days and see how it does. I have noticed that sometimes when I let the clutch out, a few seconds later you can hear the pedal pop up a half inch or so. It is rare that it does it. I wonder if the pressure plate was not holding like normal. On my FJ, I tore the clutch disc from the center of the clutch at Windrock OHV park. That clutch never slipped one time. I beat on it all the time.

I believe it! I'm running a GT2871 on 50/50 Ethanol self tune with a Cobb Accessport. I'm nowhere near 600, little above 400 though:)

Ive actually experienced what @Toytaco2k17 is talking about when I took my truck to a drag strip, albeit I was launching and not cruising in gear already and stepping on it. Released the clutch in first and revs started climbing but wasn't going anywhere or making tire smoke so I let the engine wind down a bit and tried to release it again and that time it went into gear and was fine. It seems like maybe it could be an accumulator issue as some have said, or maybe it could be that the factory clutch is just not up to the task. Ive experienced a lot of clutch slip while towing as well

Any updates for the folks running the 1.03 test tune on 04B10 @OVTune? Hows the development going? Thanks!

1.03 test tune has been stable and reliably awesome for me! It's consistently had more power and torque from low rpms. No development to speak of since 1.03TT dropped though

Oh yeah same here, just no ignition changes for us. I remember something about a ecu being ordered to figure out 04B10. Was just wondering what kind of progress was made.

I have been watching and reading this thread, but I feel like I missed the ecu code differences. How do we know what one we have and what differences would the tune have?
    I have a 17 Pro.

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question to some. I have searched and read through this thread since it started. Not sure if I missed it?
