Lifting is where it’s at. I hate cardio...it’s the devil.

 

It only sucks because it’s monotonous.

Though I’m pretty bad at it, I really enjoy trail running. Getting to jump and dodge things while sneaking through the Forrest? Amazing. My favorite Over the summer was a 2 mile in, 2 mile out in Grand Teton National Park that the turn around point was a nice little alpine lake (6900ft). So I’d run in, chill by the lake for a bit. Stare at the mountains, listen to the creek and the tourists, then run back and probably see deer or moose or whatever.

Do you have IG video of you high bar vs Low bar? I'm better at high bar but I kinda teased low bar a bit and felt ok. I'm not used to it. I did hit a high bar PR at 325x2. Second one was ugly but I got it up there. First one was decent.

 

Let us know how you like it. I've been looking at that one b/c its a "blended" protein but haven't broke down and bought it. Went with ProJym this past time.

The most recent video of me I have up there is low bar, it was a couple weeks ago when I posted it. Any of my squat videos before that would’ve been high bar. I’m meeting with my coach after Christmas to “test” where I’m at before my final block starts for my meet so I’ll get some more good video then when I’m at the actual powerlifting gym as opposed to my country club gym or garage

Edit: just checked. I’ve only posted 1 other squat vid in my year on IG and it was on Jan 30. All the rest I posted were front squats when I was working my way up to 300lb

Sweet! I set a new PR on bench too last night, did 255 for 6 then worked back down the pyramid for volume. I'm trying to get to 315 for a set of 2 at least. Had to get DMX to pump me up! According to the 1RM calculator, my max would be around 300 for 1. Last time I grinded out 275 for 1 and that was tough so next time I should be able to put up at least 2 reps.

Has anyone used the bulldog grip on bench? I've started using it and it seems a little easier on my shoulder the last 3 times I've benched. Seems a little sketchy because your elbows flare, but I haven't had shoulder pain when using it, thus allowing me to go a little harder on bench.

Isn’t it just the suicide/false grip?

I use a false grip for all my presses. I love it. I no long waste energy sqeezing the bar. Holding the bar should take minimal effort.

 

Kind of, but you're rotatingand the your arms in bar more over your forearms. You flare out more at the elbows but for me I feel like it's helped me have a stronger bench the last few weeks.

But I'm seeing now there's different types of grips, Japanese, bear, bulldog etc
