Anyone running a 275/70/17 tire on their 3rd gen Tacoma?

Do you have any kind of lift?

 

Yes. 2”. With camburg ball joint upper arms. They where overkill but I didn’t want to take a chance and have to pull everything apart again.

That is a beautiful truck! Absolutely love that Calvary blue. Sometimes I wish it would’ve been out when I purchased mine, but I love the two tones the Inferno Red gets. Beautiful truck regardless though! So you’re running a 2” lift all around?

 

Thank you. Yes 2” all around used the headstrong off-road 3 pack add a leaf in the back. Ome 885 coils with a 1/4 spacer up front and ome shocks all 4 corners. I think it looks like it should have from Toyota. If it sits by itself in a parking lot you can’t tell it’s lifted. Only when it sits next to a stock one can you see the difference. Gotcha! Yeah that’s what I’ve noticed. Tacoma’s with anything less than 2” maybe 3” are hard to tell they even have a lift especially when they have big tires. Did you get the tires before or after the lift? I only plan on lifting 1” all around to accommodate room for the tire but I’ve seen people on here with stock suspension running a 275/70/17.

 

I did it all at once. I can say that I didn’t want to trim anything at all. And didn’t. It does rub on certain situations ( full lock sharp bump). If I would trim the flare it would not. I would believe that you could run them stock. Would just need to keep it in mind when in parking lots and rough roads.

 

Gotcha! Yeah I’m super anxious to get everything fitted and I want to see how it looks and what not. I appreciate the info though! Eases my mind on the decisions I’ve made.

Running 275/70/17 as well. I like the size, but choice of tires are limited.

 

How do the OME shocks handle on the road?

 

Stock suspension?

Really nice truck, i want to run those bigger tires but i think ima have to wait on the lift for now. No money left for mods this year.
