I keep forgetting about my tire carrier on the swing out... I'm gonna have to make an edit or two to fit a 37 up there.

Front cab mount relocate kit should be here this weekend. It's almost time to hack shit up!

MGM can work with any of those color choices and look GOOD! The brushed gold looks good in person, I saw the ones @hoarder23 sold before they got picked up. The brushed copper also looks really good, I saw them a while back on a white truck and really liked them. They both may be a little too much bling for my personal taste.

The Grabbers do look good. I have 2 things that make me question getting them.
    1. Weight. They are heavier than most in the same size from what I've seen.
    2. The lettering seems to be a bit small for the tire. Purely personal preference and just my opinion.

They are still at the top of my choices for my next set of tires.

I'm officially moved. Got a few things to button up at the old house, but we beat the rain for loading/unloading that sumbitch.

I caught some hell for driving the piss out of the box truck before loading it. Had to see what she could do! :spy:

I know you didn't ask and this is unsolicited but....

Beautiful truck with some great bits. My appologies if you take this as a flame, it's not. :) The only comments I would make are....

    4.88 e-locker rear
If your eLocker hasn't failed yet, you may want to start shopping for a 8.4 housing and even used two piece ARB for it. Or if you love the idea of an elocker, there's always this: https://www.harrop.com.au/shop/4x4-performance/elocker/elocker-toyota-84-live-axle.

Alternatively, you may never have a challenge.

I went through more than my fair share of elockers (all graciously replaced by ECGS) until I didn't want ECGS to pay for any more and I wanted something better. Contemplated a 9" but the ARB problems had not been sorted out. Didn't want to spend the money on a RockJock. So, I put in an 8.4 with the Iron truss that keeps the backlash much more constant than the eLocker with a housing meant for a truck half our weight. I just replaced my R&P after more than 6 years of 'use and some abuse.' ...and it appeared that a bearing failed, which in turn took out my R&P. For me, the elocker reliability was brutal. I hope you have fared better. :)

EBC Stage 4 brake upgrade kit with slotted rotors

I used those a couple of times but have found there is nothing more consistent and better than the Green Stuff with Toyota OEM rotors. If you find better pads for our trucks, let me know. :)

    Midland CB
We need to get you into the HAM world, like many things, you will never look back. :)

Once again, very nice truck with a lot of well thought out modifications. :)

Thanks Paul! I'm not married to the elocker by any means, and I definitely need to look into beefing up the rear axle in due time.

I love the green stuff pads and you're right, they seem to be the best for these trucks. I just wish I could make them last for more than 20K miles on my truck.
    :annoyed:

YESSSSSS I need to go HAM! I need to do some reading for sure. I took a practice exam last year and scored 60% without really reading into anything, but I sorta fell off that train with plenty of distractions. I need to get long range coms ready for the upcoming season.

Thanks for the feedback, it's greatly appreciated

Just one of our truck's weak points. I personally love the Dynatrac but my wallet has been very happy with the 8.4. I also love that it's a factory bolt-in and on the vast majority of Tacos, and being it's a 'third' - It's easy to swap out and if you are broken down off on a remote trail or town, your options for recovery/replacement are much greater.

Don't feel bad, it could be worse - or better. I had a few 7 series that ate up brakes - my E36 M3 has gotten 50k between the last two front brake changes. :)

I'm glad to hear you like the idea of the license. Search, 'Technician Test Questions with Answers' and you will find some free sets of all the questions. It's a great way to study. I studied engineering so I had a bit of tech knowledge so, I just read the questions and answers the night before and passed pretty easily. I still need to learn more.

Additionally you can get a HAM vanity cheap and then in Tejas you can get vanity plates for your car(s) and truck(s) for FREE!!!! In CA it's $21. The nice thing about HAM plates is that you don't have to pay any silly vanity fee every renewal. :)

I can guarenty you one thing, you will not miss CB after you switch to HAM.

Although I do not have the right license or equipment, I am ALWAYS impressed when I see people in the middle of nowhere with their 5 watt HF equipment talking with Europe, Asia and AUSTRALIA!!!! Simply amazing!

My sincere pleasure and I am flattered that you received my comments in the way you did. I know most of us suffer from the Human Condition and many take such comments as derogatory. :)

'Hope we cross paths in some remote location someday. :)

Not real sure yet. I keep going back and fourth on 35s and 37s, probably MTRs

I'm so damn excited!!! Been waiting a while for this to happen.
