Those are 18's in the first? Do you have to be lifted to go with the first set?

My bad that was a typo. Yea just went wider and about half inch taller. Honestly I cant tell a difference in power loss. My mpg is the same and I tested today. All four 285/75/r16 tires weigh a total of 20lbs more than my previous tires. Very small difference.

I had to get a little creative but made it work. I saw on the thread for the bracket that another 3rd gen user had made it work. So I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did.

I am not sure about that size. You may get a little rub because of the 18 inch wheels but cant say for sure if you need a lift.

Ran some power to my small storage bin in the truck bed. Put a bead of silicon around it to keep the weather out. Works great and lets me know when the battery is running down. Got the Blue Sea part from Off-grid Engineering web-site.

Nice. Did you run a wire up to the battery, or tap into something? Does the power feed into the unused, bottom right terminal int the first picture?

I ran it to my Blue Sea fuse box under the hood, then to the battery. Yes, the positive runs to that terminal. The negative terminal is hard to see, its on the next group of wires, one over...if that makes sense.

Wasn't too bad. I had to pop out the light/sunglasses panel. Once I got the bracket started over the rear view mirror button I had to tap the top of the riser bracket to push it past a metal panel that is right above the windshield and under the headliner. It was not hard to do, only took about 10 mins to install. But, because of the metal panel that it has to clear, I probably would never be able to take it back off if I wanted to. But, I won't need to. You could also probably cut 1/4" off of the top of the riser bracket and would not have any issue at all installing.

I really like this. Been trying to figure out a removable way to mount traction boards, but still have them easy to reach. This is a great idea.
