My truck only came with 1 key with no keyless remote. I intend to get one however I am attracted to the all in one keys (non flip) as shown. Could this be programmed and key cut? I prefer this over separate key and remote.

I would love something like this, Inquired with AJT design to see if they might make an injection molded one for our keys but he (she?) didn't seem interested.

    subd for more info

I haven't been able to find one, and I've looked a lot. The problem is that it has to have the correct stamp marking for the immobilizer and the correct FCC ID for the keyless entry.

I bought the flip key off ebay and it works great.

Do you have a link of the flip key?

    +1.

I also bought mine from him but, AFAIK, he's out of business.

I hate those 1 piece keys with the fob as the handle. Same design as the Scion tC and those things always break

This is definitely a YMMV issue. I've had one piece fobs for years, used for thousands of starts, with no problems.

Maybe it's just the stupid scions then. I've owned about 5 Scion TCs and 4 of them I got with the keys broken. They have that same style 1 piece key.

ive been trying to find an all in one key that works properly for some while now... I leep seeing people say some work and some dont so its hard to know which route to go. I have a Surefire Sidekick and id prefer to have it on my keys, but the remote, plus key, plus sidekick plus 2 regular keys is bulky in my pockets...

Gravedigging this post back up... I’ve found some of these with a G-chip. Really trying to go to an all in one so I can carry a Surefire Sidekick and not have a huge bulging pocket full of stuff.

I'd love to hear how this goes. I too would like to have a small light or multi tool on my keys but it's definitely too bulky in the pocket with the separate fob and key set up

I think I’m gonna have to order one and see if it works.. then I’ll do the ajt design case if it does.. the only thing that concerns me is it has a trunk button on all the ones with the correct FCC and chip

    89070-02640 is a G-chipped 315MHz 3-button key.

Haven't ever tried to program the remote personally to a Tacoma.
