Would like to know if anyone has found some upgrades to the stock tie rod ends, I don't do any off roading, but I like to take corners fast, and would like something that last long than you over the counter auto part parts

6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
Not going to get much cornering performance out of an outer tie rod end. If you want it to go quick around a corner then lower the truck and camber in the front wheels.

I hate it when I take a corner too fast and my damn outer tie-rod breaks:facepalm:

Yes, but you are in the wrong forums for street handling.

See post #2 as a starter.

You need to consider an X Runner model. Using the bits from it in your Prerunner may do what you want while keeping your more favorable rear end ratio.

Or, since it sounds like you might not be too mechanically inclined (no offense intended) you might consider shopping/swapping for an X Runner.

"Key differences between the X-Runner and the other packages include tweaks to the suspension, hood scoop, ground effects kit, driving lights, sports wheel and tires, and a 3.15 final drive ratio (3.73 for V6 PreRunner and 4X4). Toyota added a rear-mounted X-Brace to stiffen up the rear end (hence the name X-Runner). The chassis was further stiffened by adding two more support braces to the frame. An optional big brake kit by TRD is also available on the X-Runner; which consists of a 332 mm slotted rotor and 4 piston caliper. The BBK (big brake kit) was designed by StopTech. The X-runner comes with an Aisin RA60 6-speed manual transmission"

At the end of the day, the more practical solution may be to buy a low cost / easy to maintain vehicle that will be a corner carver right out of the box. Drive it on your fun days.

Have you broken or worn out something (other than tires) from taking corners fast?

Quite frankly I'm not sure what you want. Sorry I'm so ignorant.

But keep cussin' at us and I'll be happy to see if I can free up some room in my safe space for you. :hattip:

The answer is no. There is an "upgrade" for every potential issue on a Tacoma, real or imagined. Much of it is selling ice to Eskimos. The fact that absolutely nothing exists for the tie rod ends should tell you something.

And a bunch of positive camber with a lift kit. Leave some bolts loose too. This will give the truck the loose steering feel.

If you want the truck to behave a bit better in the corners, try adding 5100s and preloading them on your stock coils. The preload makes the front stiffer and limits the amount of nose dive and decreases body roll in the corners. It was one thing I really liked about my 5100s before going with a full lift kit.

My Camburg UCAs helped greatly with my high speed cornering... I better make a BIO with all my experiences, cuz there's a lot that isn't mentioned.
