Aaaaand.....Now the GOOD news. Just got an email from the club president. Asshat has officially been "discharged from any position of authority".....ie, he's DONE!

Golf Pro has been selected to serve as interim manager, with myself being designated as 2nd in command.

He's been gone since November 8th. No official word until lawyers were done and asshat agreed not to pursue legal action. He wanted to "resign" rather than being fired. Club statement says "terminated".

I couldn't care less so long as he's gone. All "legal eagle" stuff.

    Merriest Christmas.

New interim manager has a bromance thingy with me. He will go along with anything I ask for

Followed some asshole down the interstate this morning. He was obviously having a community road rage dealy....He tried to hit 5 different cars. They would swerve out of his way just in time. He wasn't going fast....maybe 10 under the speed limit. I decided to stay behind him to (A) avoid getting hit and (B) watch the eventual shit show.

    It didn't take long.

After car # 5 avoided him, he swerved over 2 lanes to try to hit a Honda Pilot. That driver pounded the brakes and changed lanes and the asshole (in an old Neon) smacked the center divider, bounced back out in traffic and got punched in the drivers door by a LOUISVILLE METRO POLICE CAR that was trying to catch up to the action. I ALMOST turned around to go back and see the eventual conclusion. Bet THAT was an interesting conversation.

I went home early yesterday (I can do that again!!!) When I installed the Toyota emblem on my grill, I used existing holes in the mesh. Once mounted, I could see some irregularity...Looked low on left side, and slightly to the left. Found out by taking a few measurements that the left side was in fact 1/8" low, and the entire emblem was not centered in the grill by 1/4" to the left. That is now corrected! Decided I like it and it will stay. Used a die grinder to trim a bit of plastic around the mounting holes and it is now 100% correct! The wife noticed it when she pulled in the driveway and gave my the thumbs up. She knows the back story to the emblem and almost insisted I put it on the grill.

Later yesterday, I went to the gas station....While there, I had 2 different individuals walk up and say something about it. BOTH recognized it as an FJ grill emblem! That made me feel really good about it.

You really think it was intentional? Sounds like a good reason to use your front bumper and make a citizen's arrest.

I thought you got a different one, to preserve the one from the friend's vehicle?

Either way, I'm :jellydance: about it. Probably drool on it next time I see ya

Either it was intentional, or this guy was just the worlds worst driver.... No need for ME to get myself involved. Not worth scratching up my powder coating on the front bumper.

I did. It's a "symbolic emblem" at this point......Original is back in the SnapOn box, safe and secure. I've got about a dozen emblems off cars and trucks of significance to me. May turn my Tacoma into a '68 Z28 some day...Or a Jeep CJ5....If so, I have the emblems.

I have a powerful aversion to damage. If it happens, it happens, but.... INTENTIONAL damage is not a thing.... That said, just like being on the trails, my entertainment is watching others punt rocks, smack trees, fall off hillsides on non-trails, and flop trucks.

I just follow along (safely) behind and watch, listen, and learn...

Back in the day, I broke frames (on 2nd Jeep) drowned motor (on '77 Bronco) and bent sheet metal (on 17 various 4wds so far) Todays challenge is to NOT bend anything I can't fix myself.
