From what I hear, softtoppers are nicer than best tops. Too bad this steal of a deal don’t work for you anymore.

But it will for @PvilleJohn :boink:

What I need it for mainly is the potential to evacuate storms here. Last time I left was for Floyd and that was a total CF. And it rained. I need to protect the stuff in the bed but optimize the space available. I had considered a tonneau cover, but that would reduce the height and the amount of crap to carry. Open to suggestions tho! Of course, I could probably load up one of my box trucks with the cleaning equip in it, but still. That would be a PITA as well :(

And I suspect by Thursday, I will be paying a visit to the nice dude at the red dot store.......

Fair enough. Well, like I said I highly recommend the softopper brand. I have a Bestop that I'm trying to sell. But Bestop didn't redesign their top for a 3rd gen. They just give you a 2nd gen one which mostly fits, but there's some issues with it that make it not work as well. Plus the softopper I believe is easier to fold and there's no stupid window to crack and break and what not.

Any of you get surface rust on your sliders or other armor use any kind of treatment on them, or just knock/sand the rust off and repaint?

Cool, thanks. I had been hitting them with the paint can, but this is the first time I've let it go so far as to get a bit of rust on them.

I appreciate the info! Yeah.......we had looked into the hard tops and such. But, we kayak and paddleboard so that topper would be off most of the time and stored who knows where. I figure the soft ones would be easier to store out of the way some where :)

Super easy- 10-15 mins at most! I would even throw in my mini-ratchet set I use for install.

Just some light scratches from normal use. I have all the accessories too!
