How can I attach Christmas lights to my truck without damaging the paint?

    back to bone stock.
    gaffers tape..peels off totally, zero tackiness afterwards. i would probably start with a clean truck, and press the tape onto my clothing to gather some lint to reduce the sticking power.

    photographers use it.

    You can zip tie lights to the bedrails within the bed. It would give a festive ambiance/glow from within the bed.

    Butyl rubber tape should work. A tacky substance that you can peal off.

    There are enough slots in the rail to use small zip ties. I run a 15' string of lights and garland every year on my short bed. Zip em down tight and clip off the ends of the ties and it's good to go. 20171128_211959_Richtone(HDR).jpg 2017-11-29 01.21.12.jpg

    too many lights
    Little bit easier with a tonneau, I just run it around and ziptie around the cord itself and shove the long end of the ziptie under the rail.
