How can I run 315/75r16

Dirties really do help capability wise for off-road stuff, but if I didn't wheel then I would never have gone up to dirties. For me with gear, new wheels, tires, and the gear install cost me about $4500 vs just $1000 for new 33s...so there is that too.

And if you're not remotely close, someone will measure shadows in the pic, extract the time of day from the pic file, do some science nerd wizard shit, and respond with "actually it was 53.729634 inches" because generality doesn't exist anymore and everyone waives their bullshit flags...

So...basically I just photoshopped the rear axle out of someone elses truck and tweaked the image to look badass and then photoshopped in some trees and dirt to hide the parking blocks and Forever21 sign in the distance.

I think I'd rather spend $4500 on a LT setup rather than 35's. My 33's work great for the wheeling I do.

How much extra clearance do you really get from going 33-35? I’m guessing somewhere less than an inch.

Don't let anyone talk you out of 35's, unless of course that person is trying to convince you to run 37's!

 

Do you have to relocate stuff at 37's? I thought about it for a second, but man with LT I don't know what I would blow up firewall wise at that point.

 

If by relocate you mean cut off and throw away, then yes.

 

I meant like cab mounts, bump mounts and some firewall stuffs.

 

No need for 37's, at that point you should go to a different vehicle (80 series ftw).

There may be different ways to skin this cat, but the only approach that I can attest to involves an SAS, stretching the wheelbase (both width and length), and the removal of sheet metal (fenders). Installing 37's on my JK, while expensive and time consuming, was less involved.

 

Im sure with the Jeep it was set up better foundation wise to handle the 37s. I know a guy who is running 37s on his LT and although he says he has cycled it, I don't know how he is getting away without massive relocation.

 

In order to run 37's on the 3rd gen, they would need to be no less than 11.5" wide. There is not much room to trim any fender down by the cab mount. I was only able to trim about 1/4". The rest of the fender has plenty of trimmable space and you could do it fairly easily with the right amount of beating and trimming. 40's would require SAS or useless DB lift. I was really surprised at how much more room the 3rd gens have in the wheel wells over the 2nd gen. I had to do alot of cutting on my 06, 09, and 13 gen 2's to run 35s.
