No offence, but is this whole ‘TRD’ thing stupid?

TRD is definitely hype and marketing. BUT, it is a base specification for a vehicle to include all the off road bells and whistles. No crawl control and low grade coil & shocks in your SR5's for example.

The dummy scoop is race-bred technology at it's finest. It intimidates the other drivers, and creates laminar flow across the roof.....2.5HP gain.

No single explanation is going to fully cover why people buy tacomas or how they use them. If that were the case, ALL of the 4 door tacomas would be owned by male soccer moms struggling desperately to hang on to that last shred of masculinity that was beaten out them by 2 brat kids, beef stroganoff twice a week, a desk job, testicles placed on a lazy Susan for all to see... said truck chosen over a minivan because it exists as their last stand against being irrelevant. I mean, when was the last time you heard someone bragging about a 4 door anything? “Yo Check it I got a 4 door Miata kid!” Only with tacomas. So weird. Anyway, tons of awesome scro’s Own 4 doors and live awesome lives. Tons of rad builds have 4 doors. And it is true... 4 doors DOES mean more ho’s.

But it’s common that today’s truck buyer doesn’t use a truck how they used to back in the day. Speaking for myself, I’ve never hauled a load of anything in my 3rd gen. This truck lives a pampered life of being an adult kids new toy. Abused in other ways. I just off road and camp in it. And give people smug looks from it. Smug looks indeed.

Obviously it should be named the Toyota San Antonio or the Tacoma Baja.

Wait, I think Subaru has the Baja model name, though Toyota does use the Baja package name.

The truck pictured manages to squeeze in TRD, Texas, and Baja :woot:

We had a phrase for how Honda approached anything they wanted to exell at..

    Cubic dollars.

Cost was not a consideration. Being #1 was.
We were lightyears ahead of our competition.

I skipped about 15 pages. Did you discuss why the trd pro is called such? is it the truck that is pro or the driver that is pro? I find it confusing.
throw a polaris pro800 in the back of a TRD pro and you are sure to win something.

It's because TRD PRO comes with lifetime reserved parking at Home Depot. Read the manual.

The Trd pro is a program you enter into when you buy the truck. Trd pays out half a cent for every mile driven in a pro, generating interest in the pro itself through advertising. As you know, when you get paid to do something you’re allowed to call yourself a pro. Even though you might not be pro at ANYTHING. Every person that buys a pro because of YOUR pro gets you a commission. It’s pretty simple.

Do you have a moment to talk about vitamins? What are you currently supplementing with? I happen to have an interesting idea right here hold on let me get my folder...
