    Pointless without a turbo.

LS swap would be way cheaper. Easier. And more reliable for race truck stuff. Plus 400hp easy with no boost.

    What I'm going to do.

Why would you choose that engine and not turbo it? It would be a hell of a lot less expensive to get 600hp from a turbo version than NA. Can you even get 600hp from a non turbo 2jz? All of my import knowledge is turbo only - because no turbo = sacrilege!

Make sure he does 52.5 or 53” hanger to hanger and doesn’t try to just move the rear hanger forward so he doesn’t have to re do the frame supports.

Auto is easy. The drag guys run a th400 behind them. Do that, dont fuck around with anything else...Unless its a 4l80E.

Curious, what manual tranny do people run behind them?/ What would you recommend? ....I'm familiar with the V-160, but they aren't manufactured anymore and a blown up one is expensive. Funny enough my brother bought one of the last ones that was ever manufactured. He has owned several supras, and still owns one. He tunes them on the side for cash.

I also know several guys run a 350Z tranny behind a 2jz now. Im concerned about breaking it in the dirt though...

The CD009 is used a lot in drifting. The clutch kicks alone are more stress than what the truck would experience offroad so I say thats a solid option. It's on my short list for when I get the snail mounted.

Thanks man, I'll call him up to make sure. Like I said it would be strange if him to make that mistake but I'll stay on top of it. And did you buy your f67s used ? Or had brand new ones when they were riding bumps

Mine were used but some others I know were brand new. H70 or 50t is much better at holding weight.

    Will you have any weight?

Sadly yes, not 24/7 but when I take trips. A RTT and maybe 200ish pounds if that lmao:( hopefully it's not too bad... or else I'll be fully compressing the bumps lol

Shit that's like 325-400 extra. I have HD springs on my rear, which if I didn't have those my ass would be sagging with the RTT.

Best pic I could find of my truck (silver Tacoma) fully loaded on a week long trip. It's riding the bumpstops. Springs were new in 2010, this picture was 2016. I now have a custom pack in there and am so much happier.

I think the CD009 is the one I was referring to, glad I was on the right track....

As for the "clutch kicks" (thats a new term for me, learn something new everyday!), they are exponentially worse in offroad. Think of a whoop section where you are on the throttle to keep the nose up and your tire is leaving the ground and making contact again through a whoop to then leave the ground and make contact again over and over and over for miles. Its like a clutch kick multiple times a second for hours. Engineers have been struggling with this for years, unable to make a manual tranny live in a desert truck. The only one I know that has had success is out of Australia and is a complete one off tranny in Robby Gordon's TT.

You’re gonna hate life with f67 and a rtt!!!

Anything more than a spare and you’ll be flat

    Can you get the h70?
