I hope to hell he didn't pay more than a 100 bucks for it. I've never had a rescue, so I don't know.

One of the residents in my neighborhood has three teacup yorkies. $4500 a puppy with papers.

    o_O

I pointed out that she can’t let the dogs go outside alone because we have great horned owls and red tailed hawks that live in the greenbelt behind our subdivision.

They’d be expensive owl crap...and you wouldn’t even hear it coming.

I guess if you're a New York socialite you can afford that. I about crapped when I had to dole out a grand for my GSP. But, at least she works for her food. This is her on a break.

Some breeds are worse than others, but everyone I bird hunt with including me will not feed in the morning before hunting. Even if we are up at 5 AM and dogs can't hunt phez until 1000 AM in SD. There are some studies claiming you can do a light feed but I for one am not going to risk it. Trade off is after a week or 2 of hard running the dog really starts loosing weight. We feed high fat and protein as in steak, 70/30 hamburger and mackerel in the evening. Some days the dogs eat better than we do, as it should be. You can smell the mackerel eaters 100 yards upwind after they take a dump though LOL.

Damn Don still laughing my ass off, nailed it.

Spent the weekend 2.5 hours away from home at a dog show this weekend. Breeder wanted to run the pup (just turned 3) through conformation one more time. First in group both days but doesn't mean that much. 27 Tollers on Sunday.

27 Tollers dog show st cloud.jpg

Upper Midwest always the largest turnout and concentration of Tollers in the Country, all shows are majors. Best of Breed was from California and had a professional handler. Sounds like we will not be doing conformation anymore and the dog and I are both happy with that.

In other news this summer the AKC is going to evaluate Tollers in the field for entrance into AKC Upland hunt tests. About damn time. We got an invite and are going, that we can do.

Ran into a guy yesterday who said a guy he house sat for has a Toller. Said he ‘Showed’ the dog. Guy said the dog was spoiled rotten but a handful to care for. He thought the dog was amazing. Owner had a pool and the dog would swim laps for hours at a time. Guy lived in or near Walnut Creek, Ca. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one out here, but evidently they are here. Saddened to hear the owner didn’t hunt the dog. Oh well, his loss.

The teacup breeds are not something I'd be interested in but hey, if you like 'em, by all means. Riley has a couple in his circle that individually weigh as much as his head. He gets butthurt if they're not on the truck when the Snap-On dude comes by. He searches the truck in a bull-in-a-China-Shop kinda way too :D

What I don't like is the people with purse dogs that walk into stores with them when it says "no dogs".

Carl I think that is classified as a Fine Art Gallery

I agree on everything you said. At the dog show last weekend pretty much all breeds were represented from dogs the size of small horses down to little things where I was afraid I was going to step on them by mistake. I couldn't help but think of tribbles with some of those.

I’ll have to find it. It’s a carhartt. When I originally purchased it they were sold out online so I just searched around on google and found one from the easy coast somewhere. It’s a rad jacket and he loves it!! Highly recommended for an outdoor dog!
