5% strip on front and 20% on all others. It was a cloudy day when I took the pict. The front is not as dark as it looks in that picture.

90%windshield, 80% front 45% rear and back. Anything darker in the back and it's hard to see out the window at night.

Why would the sunroof explode due to being tinted?

I've never seen ceramic fade. The Pinnacle Series that I've used for years has a lifetime warranty against fading.

Dye film, however? Even the best eventually fade....turning purple as the dye breaks down under UV radiation

The glass used in sunroofs and moonroofs are not always the same as side windows and windshields. Some tints compress as they adhere to the glass which causes stress. Sometimes it shatters early and sometimes minor changes in temp or pressure push it over the edge and it blows.

We brought in Llumar Pinnacle films in our store right when they came out and I tinted my BMW with it. After about two years it started blurring so when I removed it you could tell where it had faded. I would've never noticed it if I hadn't removed it. Pretty much anything you apply to a surface that sits in the sun everyday will fade. Especially here in Louisiana:)

I won't argue with a pro. But the ceramic is much more stable than any dye or metalized film I've seen.

I have 50% ceramic tint on my windshield, plus an 8.5 inch 5% strip, and the GPS along with the light sensor work perfect for me. Also have 15% on front windows, and 3% on rears.

Just an update from my post 14 here.
Just to show people of the 35% front ceramic tints in different lightings. Top picture is in the late evening and bottom picture is early afternoon. Looks totally different. Just a heads up of anyone who went this route.
