On GM trucks the headlight dial and the 4WD dial were exactly the same and right next to eachother, and for some weird reason there is no cluster notification for 4WD. Too easy to mix them up.

 

Well at least GM did away with dashboards like this!

I've never seen so much butthurt over the correct enforcement of a rule! Isn't it amazing that you actually have to catch a ball to make it a catch?

For your post lunch enjoyment. This is from a few nights ago but still pretty cool.

Back when I ran the Spartan Beast at Killington in September somewhere along the way I smashed my toe on something and it filled with blood under the toenail/ crushed it.

Fast forward to months later the nail has been getting looser and slowly pulling off. I finally caught it on my pajama pants the other night and ripped it off. Pretty cool looking. Apparently according to the interwebs it takes ~6months for it to grow back

 

Breaking out the Eye Bleach...again.

The wife on the other hand is less than pleased but not really anything I can do about it.

Psst... When the time comes: Hopefully the basement isn't finished. If it isn't, hide a chair w-a-y in the back by the oil tank. Go down there and sit in the dark and have a few nips. Helps ease the tension...

Tuck Rule. Raiders fans (and Pats haters) are still moaning about that one 15 years after the fact. Even though it was a RULE that was called correctly by the refs on the field, according to how the rule was written. Ironically, the Pats had gotten dinged by the same rule earlier in the season against the Jets and nobody cared, but when the situation was reversed...
Hopefully we're not stuck listening to Steelers fans whine about this for that long.

Did something similar with my thumb and a 28oz framing hammer a few years ago. Mashed it flat, nail filled up with blood and throbbed like a mofo until I drilled it & drained it. About a month later I hooked the nail and tore it off, had half a thumbnail underneath it. Really soft, though. Took it a little while to harden back up.

 

Our system is down at work... IT decided to take it down, at 4pm, to "fix" an issue that's going to take 3 hours.

Who the fuck comes up with the idea of taking it down at 4??? Why not run a patch overnight, or do it at 5 or 6 after the 'work day" is over?!

 

I was going to kill my IT department last Friday for doing that. They did it at 5:00, right when I was in the middle of a 3 hour forensic process, had a million screens opened up and boom, force shut down for updates. They're lucky I'm in a field office otherwise it may not have ended well for the IT staff. I lost a couple days worth of work.

 

That sucks right there. What pisses me off about it is that I'm doing my job and my co-worker's, so I need to be able to get shit done, or I'm all sorts of behind on stuff... and my OCD will kick in and mess me up.
