FEELER: tooter II.VII 2 inch thick intake manifold spacers

I question the functionality and durability of 3d vs. solid plastic. Solid plastic would be better suited for the job in my opinion. Just my $.02. If that's the route your planning on going, I'll think continue to search if you don't mind.

 

He said a buddy had a machine shop as well, I was thinking a skeletonized billet aluminum piece might do nicely. Who knows at this point, this revival is definitely in its infancy still

 

Ok I talked to my guy, he said high density plastic, delrin, or aluminum. Can't 3d print them. While they would be strong enough, they can't handle being in an engine bay. Hot, cold, oil, gas, vibrations, tacoburrito spraying a whole bottle of throttle body cleaner on em, stuff like that. He said he can make em, but I need someone to send me theirs to make a copy, then I can send it back. I think we should try and get this rolling after the new year.

 

You need to calm way down dude. I am trying to get this done for all those that want one and don't have one. I just started thinking about this like 2 days ago. With those kind of posts....shipping may cost you a little extra lol

 

Just asking questions man. If I'm shelling out $250, I just want the same level of product as Tooter produces.

We can hope that @Thebubble might be able to contribute to this adventure since he’s the only person I know to have one. And I for one seriously appreciate the willingness to get this going man, I was about out of hope with it..

I honestly have no clue what material would best suit it tho, like I said before I know tooter made his out of plastic for some reason or another. I’ll go search for it.

Well the old toots hasnt been seen in 6 months, so after Christmas I will beg and beg till someone sends me theit's. I will scan it at the shop, make a new product file. The intake bores will have small helical grooves to stir up the air and atomize fuel better. May not work but I gotta change the design somehow. Then I will source the materials and probably do a run of 50. Will buy the o rings, and test fit on my truck. I will source out a silicon hose to go in so you don't have to unbolt the resonator.

Ok sounds good. In the mean time I got 3 flatbeds to biuld. Mine, a 1990 single cab, and 1993 extended cab.

 

I remember seeing that too... I already have LCE headers & injen intake Tooter did. Don't really wanna fiddle w/ exhaust just yet.

I’m about to buy a dude a scooped Hood for his tooter spacer as a template. Just waiting to see if he’s serious or not.

 

Okay, now I am slightly confused. You need a scooped hood for the spacer to fit?

 

Lol no in my wtb thread this guy is saying he’d trade his spacer for a scooped super white 05-11 hood. Tooter put quite a bit of research into his spacer which is why I’d prefer to get his for use as a template. Tooter is completely MIA that’s the only reason there is such a fuss about getting these produced again.

 

why wont the dude just let you borrow it and send it back - i would be willing to pay the dude for the spacer, and then when it gets mailed back to him, he sends me my money back
