So I'm calling it right now for Pens. That trade yesterday is probably so they can package Cole and a winger (Sheary, Rust, Hagz or Sprong) for a center. We will see after the holidays if it happens, but I think that is what Rutherford is setting up to do.

Marner was on fire and playing like he did last year. If he breaks out of his slump it'll go a long way towards getting goals on the board.

 

Some rumors circulating that Bozak could be going to the Pens for Cole and a winger.

 

It’s a loss but Marner looked excellent again and the Leafs out shot the jackets. Lots of positive things in that game.

For us, I think it would be good just because we need that center badly. Bozak wouldn't be my first choice but I do like him and think he would be good with Kessel. Problem is, Kessel is mostly with Geno now though, so that line would have to break up for that to happen. Either way, Pens need to make a move and I'd be cool with that. Not sure how you guys view it on your end. I'd rather Sprong not be the winger they include, but if it is 1 of the other ones I mentioned, I guess that would be ok. Sucks to lose any of those wingers but we have so many. Plus getting Bozak (or anyone) would move Rowney back to wing. And Shaehan makes for a great 4th line that you can roll w/o worry.

 

If they took it that far they should have at least found a better opponent than Carolina for them to play against.
