My grille came the same way. How did yours turn out after paint? I am interested in the type of paint you used, I will have to do the same for mine.

There is no obvious reason why the radar sensor won't fit the OEM grille, or the Chinese one. The issue you have with moving the sensor over to the new grille is that it has to be aligned properly to guarantee the integrity of a safety-related function. It seems you have to modify a configuration setting to reflect the fact that the sensor is mounted slightly lower. That work is best done by the dealer. Thing is, dealer would be assuming liability and I doubt he will help you install a knock-off part. I'd expect he would refuse to help you install a genuine grille, as well.

I bought a knockoff grille thinking that I would just use the calibrated digital inclinometer I have at work to duplicate the stock angle. But upon reading the alignment procedure that someone helpfully posted above, you need a radar reflector and some portable test equipment as well. In the end, I decided not to attempt it and I am selling the grille I bought.

    .....or a big cellphone holder!
Looks like the same exact packaging mine came in from MFclub. Check the declared value on that customs slip!

What did you mount that light bar to and does the grill in front knock down the ability to aim it?

I used caliraised mounts to mount it and bought the light from there so everything lined up correctly. The mounts bolt to your frame bolts that hold on the crash bar. If you do your grill it is a great time to put this in since the grill is already removed. Watch their youtube video and it is super easy. The grill in front does not mess with the ability to aim it and I had about 3/4 inch I could push the light back from the grill. I have it about a 1/4 inch away just to reduce heat exposure to the plastic.

Cool, appreciate that. I was thinking if I got one I'd cut that lower grille work but it sounds like it's not necessary.

Not at all my man. Had it offroad last weekend during pitch black and the small grill does not affect the light pattern that I could notice - and I am not a fan of cutting up my stock stuff. Goodluck!

Don’t know if I want to take a chance again on this one. Here is the comment on the ad:

”This seller is currently away, and is not processing orders at this time. You can add this item to your watch list to purchase later.”
