So I moved at work into relatively new overpriced building and the HVAC hasn’t been working since September. Which was bad because it was still hitting triple digits then... we survived with the thought that the part was on its way.

Now it freezing at night up here and so is our office when we show up in the morning.

So we decide to call and find out what’s up.

Apparently our shop ordered the part and they were told it would be here in April 2018... and they were ok with it.

The ten of us affected collectively lost our shit.

Also $1200 rent, eat my ass! Good luck on the house hunt anyway. My sister is trying to buy in SF.. put an offer last night on an up and coming 2/2 with 1000 sq ft for $730k. They lost it to another buyer putting 40% down.

Point being: bring your wallet and patience. Market is still fucked as ever and there’s always some wealthy Asian buyer who doesn’t give a fuck about your needs and has cash in hand - 20% over asking price.
