    Can anyone recommend a shop or mechanic in the Boston area? I’ll go anywhere in eastern MA just to be able to have a go to shop or person that I can trust.

    Toyota just tried to tell me it would cost $600-700 for a tailgate latch fix... WTF.

    Powdercoating in MA? Any suggestions?

    I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a Brute Force Fab HC Rear and wanted to look into powdercoating and try to get a quote if possible. I feel pretty decent about my painting skills but seems like most people powdercoat their bumpers.

    Not a 4x4 shop but I like the owner/mechanic at this Meineke. He did some work for me and works on a few guys race Miatas as well. He installed my suspension and did a great job with the alignment as well.

    This^^ all of my armor is done with rustoleum self etching primer (3 coats), rustoleum truck bed liner (3 or 4 coats), and then rustoleum flat black enamel to keep fading away (2 or 3 coats)

    Yea I regret getting my sliders line-x'd since the first time I really used them I got a big gouge/cut down the side and the sliders are rusting now and there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it. I think my most recent attempt at painting went really well (Prinsu AccessRack) but the retrofit/BHLM I attempted a few months back was bad enough I'm re-doing them. I think the retrofit/BHLM issues I had were due to poor preparation.

    Just remember that painting is 90% prep work. The better you do with prep, the more likely you will come out with a desirable result

    I lost most of the pics I had from when I did mobile paint repair about 5 years ago. Have a couple left. First 2 are a rear bumper on a car with a big crack in it, first one was after plastic welding it back together. Last pic is of my grille emblem on my truck after putting on a second coat of clear and letting dry. Still have 2 touch up guns I mess around with from time to time.

    Thanks! Think the only other ones I have are of this BMW I did out at Wagner BMW of Shrewsbury (@micwillia ) the whole front bumper needed to be done since it was previously painted by someone and not prepped properly which cause the paint and clear to lift around the headlight washer things. Did add more protection after the 2nd pic was taken. That was only after being wiped down and being ready for paint.
