This much is FACT! Fun, entertaining, and most important, my wife now thinks by comparison I'm far more civilized and responsible than at any point so far in our relationship. It's all about nurturing a proper contrasting image. Thank you ALL for your service.

I almost had to use my sliders just 2 days after Everett welded them on!
Some superstar thought they would get onto the side of the road (ample room for 2 traffic lanes and parking on each side) to pass me at a light on the right. Didn't notice this Darwinism escapee until the light went to green.
It turns green, he punches it, I hammer the gears and clutch. Nose up a fender ahead. Turn ever so slightly to the right and all of a sudden, his "lane" is getting smaller! He sees steel coming at his plastic Oldsmobile. Hammered his brake nearly getting rearended himself, swerves behind me, I stab the brakes a bit. Darts into the left lane and I give him the Nick's going to shoot you next time wave :luvya: and take my on-ramp to US 52 in Ohio to get back to God's Country

    Panic filled morning.

1.) Walked in work @ 0515. Found a white water experience coming from under the kitchen doors. Last night, a contractor was here working on upgrades to our dish machine. Apparently one of those upgrades was breaking a 3/4" copper water line and not telling anyone. Fortunately, floor drains took 99.9% of the water. I used a "Shark Bite" repair fitting and that's fixed.

2.) Beer and wine walk in is showing 68 degrees. Seems to be an issue with the electric to the compressor. Help is on the way.

3.) Tripped over a cord to the vacuum cleaner at home yesterday. Woke up feeling approximately as if I was hit by a Greyhound bus....3 times.... Theorized that gravity gets stronger and ground gets harder as you grow older.

4.) Mandatory employee/staff meeting @ 10 am. Interim manager/assistant manager will be announced to entire staff. Me being the "interim ass manager" as the email from the front office stated. Not sure how to view the wording....

It's all good! Still love my job. Trying to convince myself the previous 3 years was actually just a bad dream....and I'm awake now.

Still trying to decide if that was a caring comment or a dig at my advanced age....

Actually hit my left shoulder. I had the dog's dinner in my hands and was trying not to spill it. Ended up faceplanting on the kitchen floor, spilled the dog food. The dogs ate it up and then started licking me in the face.

Water leak fixed and cleaned up.

"Electrical issue" resolved. Note to food and beverage staff; Do NOT turn off cooler (switch) It works MUCH better when turned on. (Reminds me of my wife in that aspect)

Up and moving around, soreness starting to go away.

Now to get mentally prepared to be interim ass manager. Must google "correct way to manage ass".

    Yep.

Burning a few "left-over" vacation days from 2017.

That still leaves me with over 40 for the next 11 months. Plus normal days off. Great deal will be used for Moab in April (at least 2 weeks) Week for Harlan 2018. And I have 9 personal days too!

    Have more than I realized!
