Closest thing we had in The States was the 4x4 van. Still very cool. But no Acelite.

 

I think I've seen one or two of those around here before

 

Back on the early 90's Toyota had a 2wd version in the states

 

Looks like the 4WD (and beefier engine) of the Hiace I was driving around Bosnia. Thing was a dog but it still worked at 15 degrees.

I had one of the US one’s as a work truck when I worked at the cabinet shop. I loved that little van. Even had the fridge and ice maker in it with the huge moon roof over the back that opened.
