Definitely have to hit up Bentleyville. http://www.bentleyvilleusa.org/

What kind of food do you like? If you're looking for a nice "birthday dinner" kinda thing, Lake Avenue Cafe is good. http://lakeaveduluth.com/

For lunch you could hit up Northern Waters Smokehaus. https://northernwaterssmokehaus.com/

Those are both on Canal Park where most visitors like to hang out. It's right near Bentleyville too. If you're more into burger joints, let me know. I've got some opinions there too.

Lake ave was already on my list. I've got a buddy that loves that place and highly recommended it. I would love some suggestions for burger joints too.

If you're in to local spots, you might want to check out "At Sara's Table" as well. I haven't eaten there myself, but have heard really good things. http://astccc.net/
Duluth Grill is another good spot. https://duluthgrill.com/
If you're into barbecue, you have to check out OMC. https://omcsmokehouse.com/ It's a new joint owned by the same family as Duluth Grill. Really great people who source locally.

    For burgers:
    7West Taphouse - http://7west1.7westtaphouse.com/
    Big Daddy's - http://duluthsbestburgers.com/
    Anchor Bar - http://anchorbarandgrill.com/
    Gronk's (it's a bit further out) http://www.gronksgrill.com/

How could I forget Tavern on the Hill? It's easily one of my top three. In fact, I'm the one that got them to rename the "House-Smoked Salmon Sandwich" (my favorite thing on their menu). I don't remember what it used to be called, but it was some name so ambiguous you'd just read right past it.

Black Woods and Fitgers are good too:
Black Woods - get the BW Meatloaf with Irish Whiskey BBQ sauce - trust me.
Fitgers - best fish tacos in town. Good burgers too.

Went out to the Iron Range again yesterday! The light snow the night before and layer of ice underneath everything made it a bit slippery, but that was to be expected. We stuck to the core trails and accidently got into a very mild rock crawl... if I remember correctly it was called "Gumby's Crawl." I think after that a good set of sliders are on the short list for mods! Regardless, we made it out without breaking anything and had plenty of fun!

Made it up to Duluth today, our first stop besides the hotel was fitgers. Just got a growler filled. Their El Niño ipa is fantastic. No real plans for tomorrow, might go to the aquarium then drive up the lake to show my gf some of the sights.
