    Nonsense. Deaver is just one example of a shop that can make you a full custom pack without lifting. You just can't have it all. Soft ride and load carry just doesn't go together, okay? It doesn't!
    Toyota (knowing their customers well) just opted for the plush ride for all the empty bed city slickers.
    OP if you're truly on a budget just do nothing. Trucks gonna tow your boat just fine, so what if it says while doing it. You didn't buy a full size for a reason I guess. $400 is not gonna buy you a custom leaf pack.

    As for th squeak, often that comes actually from the bushings

    If you want it stock then why would you not stick to OEM springs. No company will make a better stock form spring then toyota.

    Great, and Alcan makes custom leaf packs too. Get back to me about how budget friendly they are. OP isn't trying to lift and he's on a budget.

    So, let's say I went with dakars. Is there a kit could get? What would be the cost? I'm assuming the dealer would install for free. From the sounds of things it's either that or try to really clean the ones I have well. Maybe power wash before greasing/adding inserts. It is just really bad. Really loud.

    I mean really would like a lift eventually. But right now it's looking way out of my price range. Even 400 for leafs is going to hurt. Im just tired of sounding like chitty bang bang going down the road. That and they sag under any real load. If I could stop the squeak I guess I'd be able to live with it. I'm not sure what shape the front suspension is in anyways the truck does have 170k on it. Only plus is my father in law is a mechanic. SoI get cheap labor anyways if I wait. How long do the shocks, front springs etc typically last?

    I'm no expert, but I don't think it lasts that long. My first rear suspension setup was a 2" AAL with the stock leaf pack. Towed a toon boat once and then it sagged so terribly bad. I with the leaf TSB offered cash so you can go buy quality leaf springs. Not the shit they put on the trucks from the factory. Zero function from factory IMHO.

    Quite a lot!
    Only had them on for 30 hours! So far I like them as far as how the truck looks, no more droop to rear. I am at approximately 125 to 150 lb of extra weight in the rear with full size spare, bed racks, awning and recovery gear. I went with the "option 2" for the leaf packs. Right now the rig has a little more rake than stock, but I am okay with that, looks good and will be just right when I'm loaded up heavy for a trip or need to tow. Plus I plan on getting an RTT and steal rear bumper with swing out. So I felt Option 2 was just right for me now and going forward.
