Waiting...not so patiently...for this to arrive. I've been looking at getting a side-by-side for years - tired of plowing snow sitting in the open air on our ATV - but balked at the high prices of the name brand machines. I happened on a review of the new Cub Cadet Challenger 750 - found several more and all raved about the quality and price given what comes standard on them: 4-wheel disc brakes, gas adjustable shocks, under-carriage protection, front and rear locking differentials, ROPS with lower doors, dump bed, winch, tilt steering wheel and even turn signals . I checked them out at our local dealer and decided to take the plunge. I added removable upper doors and rear window, a heater, windshield wiper, light bar and a power angle snow plow.

There's an outside chance it will arrive next week - but probably sometime in early January. This is what it looks like standard and MSRP of $10,999. Mine came in at about $15,500 before taxes and fees - the power angle plow set up being the most expensive option.

    Plows are way expensive.
My blower cost me almost as much as the tractor it’s attached to.

Definitely will make your snow removal much more comfortable.

Something like that with the expense needs to have a big need.
Guy down the street has a big ass tractor and rear mounted pto blower
His drive is like 4 lengths of a full size truck.
    So ridiculous.

I have a 750 ft driveway with a big curve and a hill, plus I plow my mother-in-law's driveway as well as around our mailboxes. It takes about an hour so I will be thrilled to not be out in the cold, the wind, sleet, snow and have to get off the ATV every time I need to switch the plow angle. It will also be a great workhorse for around our property with the dump bed for dirt, mulch and gravel.

Being warm is what it’s all about.
I have a soft cab on my lawn tractor and it makes all the difference so I know where you are coming from.
You will go looking for places to plow..
Take some pics of it in action..

    Morning all:
I'm sure you will find plenty of uses for that Mark, I could probably use something like that here and that Cub looks like its a pretty well thought out design.
The one thing I absolutely need is a small trailer, even with that Cub I would make sure I could hook a trailer up to it.
    I Like!

    This is what I use.
I refuse to put a plow on the Tacoma.
A big change from a plow on my old truck but I needed a new tractor too.
So I saved a bunch of money going this way.
I wanted to build a hard cab but you know how plans go..

Morning all . Just catching up on everything on the porch. First day I don't have anything going on:woot:. Got my SS statement and I a $20.00 increase. I claim Federal tax off my pension so the only major deduction is Medicare. The one item I laugh at is what is listed right before the bottom line. It states "After we take any other deductions, you will receive on or about" and then they give you the amount. Why can't they give us an amount of any other deductions? Why keep us in suspense if there will be any other deductions.?.? Enough rant.
Hi Ms. Susan :hattip:. Glad it wasn't your house that was smoldering. Are you spending Christmas with the Grand kiddies Sue?

Nice looking plow setup you'll have Mark. I hope you get it before any more snow falls. good all around utility vehicle. My neighbor upstate has a Polaris and he swears by it. He uses it for everything, including coming down our road (rural dirt road) for a visit:thumbsup:.

Hope everyone is done with the Christmas shopping. We are still having Christmas Eve dinner so we will have a house full again. Dinner will be ham, mashed potatoes, yams (with marshmallows melted on top), pineapple soufflé, string bean casserole, and corn. Anyone in the area, stop in there will be plenty of food and your always welcome.

    Have a safe one all.

That looks a nice set-up! I played with the idea of getting a thrower but stuck with the plow - hopefully it was the right choice. I also don't want to put a plow on my truck - just don't want to put that much hard abuse on it.

I am very easy on plow trucks.
I learned lots of tricks from old timers 50years ago.

I never ,ever broke down, broke a plow, nothing.
Everyone else would kill their equipment.
Still as long as I can stand the cold and work the tractor and blowers, I’ll stick with what I have .

I'm done with the cold. Took this the other morning after finishing plowing my mother-in-law's driveway.

Just another light dusting here overnight. Wrecks here and there in the region per the radio news. Never learn.

It's rare. When I was a youngster in SE Texas the schools would close at the first sign of a dozen snowflakes. Hope you guys don't get any serious amounts this winter.

WHAT? Are you saying you don't want me to use my snowblower AT ALL?? It's all gassed up and ready to go! (And the little boy in me enjoys watching it toss snow 40-50 ft. :anonymous: )

Some impressive snow removal implements. I bought one of these 20 years ago and it has yet to fail me. I did a rebuild 2 years ago at a cost of $80.
