Ok I’ll check that too. Because that whole area where the harness connects to the to the tail lights gets muddy to the fiberglass install. I really need to design a new inclosed housing for the tail lights when I rebuild the rear.... added to list :p

This could be it too. Mud/snow hanging off the harness will pull on it and will cause some weirdness.
Take a trip to the car wash if it's really muddy and clean the shit out of it, then start the trouble shooting. If that turns out to be the problem, zip tie those wires to something so they are secure.

    Will do. Thanks bud!

@Squeaky Penguin since your here. I’ve been wanting to ask you. You did the tundra front brakes right? I know the green stuff didn’t hold up for ya. Same here. What pads did you go with after that?

The green stuff were great on the stock calipers except for the bad life. So I went with hawk lts on the tundras. No complaints other than then annoying noises they make sometimes off-road.

Ok cool. Good thing I don’t have to worry about the off road noise since this half ass LT truck doesn’t see off road anymore :cookiemonster:

The master install kits provided by most manufactures these days are good for just the bearing/seal/nut, beyond that they send shims that might fit. Most people who go through me suffer extended wait times because I run factory shims for the most part/where it aids in install. Initially it was taking time to get those shims but now I can usually have them in 3-7 days

Don't do that, the bearings provided are from the same manufacturer as the OEM, the cost of the install kits are lower than my cost for OEM parts

Not really, the air pumps were junky all the way up until 2011. Expensive fix if the truck is over 10 years old or has over 150k miles, under that is covered under an extended warranty. The 2008 has an issue with the immobiliser system that is a pain to get to, not all trucks have it, I have seen it in both earlier and later trucks, not in the frequency of the 2008 though.

Seems there's a lot with high mileage. How expensive of a fix is that air pump?

    What hasn't been modified?
He has extra parts so you can drop off the gears, and come back when they’re built to swap them out. This way you don’t have to be without your truck for a week or 2

Slow to the party, but getting additional accessory coverage is something that needs to be added...and has to normally be asked for. Unless you have a good agent, who will go over the finer points of your policy with you

As a rule, I added high accessory coverage on my motorcycle (due to them getting lots of accessories...much like Tacoma's) and it helped when my sport bike was totaled in 2009, with custom exhaust and many other bits and pieces would have otherwise not been completely covered. Agreed value policy, and saving those add-on receipts are a must do. Good luck with your resolution...

**Also not an insurance agent...and did not sleep at a Holiday Inn last night.
