All this looks great on the day of and on paper, but get ready for a lot more transfers to start happening around UGA. Trust me, being a Bama fan, I have seen it far more than I want. That's what happens when the rich get richer. Yall will see your first one this off season when Eason transfers. Stellar looking signing class thus far for UGA though so congrats to that!

 

I've been preaching that Eason is going to leave for a while now. No way he comes back with Fromm in the driver seat and Fields In the back seat. I hope he goes to the PAC or junior college for a year. He deserves a good shot at playing.

I also expect Holyfield and/or Herrien to leave since out backfield just reloaded with better talent.

 

I don't really like all the "best class" stuff much due to each team has a different number of scholarships available, so it's hard to compare some of them. I mean... look at OSU, they have a ton of players signed, but is that due to great recruiting or that they have a ton of players going to the NFL this year? Probably a little of both, but still...

Kudos to UGA! Man, glad to see Kirby doing well over there. That's his dream to coach there, so ya gotta love that!

Notre Dame could have twenty 5 star top 20 players in the country for several years and they will still be 9 and 3 or so.

Success on the field breed success on the recruiting trail. Also sending a lot of players to the NFL helps a coach recruting powers too. That and all the illegal perks that recruits get when visiting the schools and the area.

 

I don't disagree... success pulls a lot of recruits in. I was just saying that comparing a team that has (making up numbers here) 10 open scholarships to a team that has 20 open scholarships is not exactly apples to apples.

Also, and I only say this as I know this team, but Bama had to recruit a punter this year... those nearly always are not that highly rated, so it would bring down their score.

I know I'll get flamed for making excuses, but just noting that there is some "variance" in the scoring (if that sounds right?).

The reality of it comes down to having a very good class (top 10 or 20) and filling holes you have. If Bama picked up the top 3 RBs in this calls, the class may look great, but the team sure doesn't need another RB right now, so I'd not rate that class high.

You guys already know this, so I'm just rambling... I'd be glad to see Bama just have a decent class and fill in some holes in the depth chart given all these injuries.

Ok... I was thinking more about Ohio State getting like 22 recruits and Clemson only had 14... how do they compare those classes??
