    To transfer coins into Binance you go to the "Funds" menu in the top ribbon and select "Deposits Withdrawals" then you find the specific coin you want to deposit and click on its associated "Deposit" button. This will give you an address that is a long string of random numbers and letters. You copy this address down and go to whichever website you will be sending coins FROM (for example Coinbase or GDAX) and paste this address into a withdrawal (finding this will be different on each site). It is VERY VERY VERY important to note that each coin type has its own address. You cannot use the same address for different coins and you need to triple check you got the address correct because if it is even one character off you will lose your coins forever. I use "ctrl c" and "ctrl v" to make sure it copies correctly and I visually check it multiple times as well. Hope that helps but let me know if you have more questions.

    How do you even get coins to begin with?

    The only platform I'm familiar with is Coinbase which has my bank accounts linked.

    You can get coins on Coinbase. You can get BTC, ETH, LTC and now Bitcoin Cash (not sure of its symbol) on there. Then you transfer those over to Binance where you can trade them for other altcoins.

    So how do you connect the two - Coinbase and Binance? I have MetaMask that can pull from Coinbase but I'm not seeing the same linking steps on Binance... if that makes sense.

    You dont/cant link them. You make a withdrawal from Coinbase to your deposit address in Binance using the method I described above in my post.
