Used to work in a moulding shop. For snipe its hard to totally get rid of. We would put upward pressure on the piece coming out. Had rollers that were on adjustable height stands to help catch pieces coming out. Now we did use a wax on the table. Basically one was a paraffin clear wax and the other was a spray product called waxlit. For planers the clear hard wax rubbed across the table worked best to me. For our shapers and the Weinig machine we had the waxlit was great. Also helped keep rust down on the beds.

I noticed if I take less material off the with the planer it seems to do better than if I try to take off a lot of material. Also lifting the board coming in seems to help eliminate the snipe. Had a friend of my wifes request me make her a large rolling pin for cinnamon rolls. I told her I would try to make it. It will be a 36" rolling pin. I got the pieces cut just need to glue them together to make a square and put it on the lathe.

Google image search "gauged ears". My sister has 2" holes in her ear lobes. Was a simple build, but interesting

Cutting boards anyone? These will end up being combined to form a plaid pattern with alternating strips from each blank. Walnut, maple, and cherry.20171223_182354.jpg

Anyone able to make a cigar humidor out of Spanish cedar? Needs to be big enough to hold 50 cigars and seal up extra tight. Most humidors are particle board with a Spanish cedar veneer. I was looking for a solid Spanish cedar humidor. Thanks for any info.
